Chapter 53 The Kid In My Home

Chapter 53 The Kid In My Home

Daisy saw that Paige was getting physical, her expression dimmed and she reached over to pull her

away. “What are you doing?”

Paige loosened her grip, she gave Sadie a long look and turned to sit down. “I’ve seen these clothes on

an escort while I was out for dinner yesterday, and today coincidentally, I see the ugliest of our school

wearing it, so I’m just touching out of curiosity.”

Sadie’s heart thumped, as she calmed her anger down.

Hearing her tone, she must really not have seen her face last night, and might not even have seen

Julian clearly.

Julian’s reputation at Communication University was more than that of any popular celebrity, people

upload his photos in the forum every day.

And a bunch of people swooned for him underneath.

If Paige had seen his face directly, she could not have not recognised him.

As she relaxed, she became reluctant to bother with her childish ways. Climbing onto Daisy’s bunk,

Sadie put on her headphones and opened the English learning app on her phone, listening while

memorising the terms.

Her vocabulary had been meagre during her high school days, and could only understand single terms.

For the terms to be grouped together, and further for it to be an article, it seemed quite exhausting.

For Julian to not want to give it to her, it must be more than merely teasing her English proficiency, and

there must be some content that he did not want her to know.

Businessmen were known to be cunning, she did not believe him.

Paige saw that she was silent and became more confident, so she said to Riley on purpose, “The

eyebrow pencil I bought yesterday is missing, have you seen it?”

Riley shook her head and added that her lipstick was also missing, while saying so she kept looking at

Sadie.

The two went on to put on a show, sounding like only their makeup pouch was the only thing left. Sadie

pretended that she did not hear it, and exchanged glances with Daisy to keep silent on coordination.

After the afternoon lessons, the police station called surprisingly. Sadie listened to their requests, and

called Julian immediately after. She told him that she had to go to the police station and would not be

riding along in his car.

To be honest, she kept feeling afraid of going back to ZSB Garden this weekend.

Julian was a grown man, for them to sleep together every day like this, things were bound to happen

one day. She did not want to benefit him for nothing.

The police still asked the same question. Perhaps it was because she had read the materials that

Julian gave, she answered them without much difficulty.

It was just that Libby had not contacted her until now. Every time she called, her call was always

rejected.

After she had finished providing her testimony, she saw Julian’s car parked outside the entrance from

afar, and could not help but felt like laughing.

He really seemed to be deep in his role. Sometimes, she could not even differentiate which of the

things he told her was real and which was fake.

She got into the car, and his arm reached over naturally, without even the slightest feeling of faking it as

he pulled her into his arms automatically. “Where do you want to go for a vacation this weekend? I’ll

accompany you.”

Sadie felt a bit uncomfortable. She stiffened as she took his hand away, “Mr Julian, when we’re alone,

can you at least give me the slightest respect?”

“What kind of respect do you want?” Julian lowered his head and put his chin on her shoulder, laughing

in his raspy voice, “You can suggest, of course, I have the right to vote against it too.”

Then it would be like she had not said anything. Sadie rolled her eyes and didn’t want to bicker with

him any further.

Julian saw that she was angry, and his smile grew wider. He rolled the tip of his tongue, lightly touching

it against his front teeth and leaned over to kiss her earlobe.

Being so close, any tiny sound that was amplified by the ear canal was extra uncomfortable to the ears. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Sadie tipped her head and avoided his affectionate actions, her pretty face still cold, “Mr Julian, please

mind your actions.”

“Alright,” Julian answered lazily, but there was no indication on his face that he would let her go. He

had been busy the whole day, and this little thing could not even console him for a bit.

The inside of the car suddenly became quiet. The sounds of his heavy breath became louder and

louder in her ear, she could not avoid even if she wanted to. Her body eventually became hot with

sweat.

Sadie reached out once again to push him away, but Khalid spoke suddenly, “Young master, a car is

following us from behind. Should I get rid of it?”

A car was following… Julian let go of Sadie and turned back to have a look.

There was indeed a car following, but their following techniques were not clever and even had a feeling

of being obvious.

He raised his hand and touched his chin. He retracted his gaze and smiled lightly, “You don’t have to

get rid of it, just shake it off.”

“Alright,” Khalid memorised the license plate number, and took his phone to call someone. Once the

call was connected he said, “Check this license plate number and see who’s following young master.”

Sadie leaned against the chair and put on her headphones as if nothing happened, and listened to

English with her eyes closed.

Julian had quite a lot of competitors. Samuel she met before seemed to be only one of them.

Of course, there were also many that wanted to cooperate with him. The DHG Group was well known,

and no one would not prefer to go further standing on the shoulders of a giant.

After listening to English terms for about half an hour, the car stopped suddenly.

Sadie opened her eyes and found that they have reached the airport. She could not help but frowned,

“Where are we going?”

“The beach,” Julian gave her a simple explanation. He loosened his seat belt, opened the door and

went down.

Sadie sighed, brought her own bag, took her headphones off and went down as well.

Ted parked the car into the parking apron, there was a silver private plane parked near the runway. The

evening sun shone from the side of the air terminal, the silver body of the plane was as if plated with a

layer of golden light, it was blinding.

The rich were indeed wilful… Sadie thought silently, a similar scene suddenly flashed through her

brain.

She stopped in her footsteps, and was slightly distracted.

Weird, every time she was together with Julian, there would be some familiar scene appearing in her

brain for no reason.

Yet they never knew each other before, what was actually going on?

“What are you thinking about? So unfocused.” Julian raised his hand and landed it on her shoulder,

embracing her naturally.

“I’m shocked by your crazy richness, slightly surprised,” Sadie replied casually and nonchalantly,

following him up the ramp.

When she looked from beneath, she did not feel that the plane was large. Once she entered the cabin,

she was still shaken by the intricate décor inside.

She blinked and sat on the seat near the window unexpectedly. She then bent and reached her hand

under the chair.

Surprisingly, there was a cool feeling on her fingertips. She stunned and reached in even further, and

finally took the whole box out.

It was her favourite mint.

Opening the lid, she took a piece of candy, opened its wrapping and put it into her mouth as she looked

thoughtfully at Julian. “Mr Julian, aren’t you going to explain the reason behind this coincidence?”

It was the first time she was taking a private plane, and she did not know why she did that just now.

“What coincidence?” Julian had the slightest frown, as he sat beside her calmly.

“The candy was hidden by the kid in my home, I’m surprised too that you’re able to find it.”

Sadie froze, and suddenly felt like spitting out the candy.

“Just eat it, the kid in my home loves mints the most. She said the candy reminded her of her mum,”

Julian rubbed the top of her head, took the finance magazine on the coffee table without a hitch and

flipped it open.

Sadie bit her lower lip and kept silent.

She loved mints too, but she did not know why she liked it. During the time when she was about to take

her university entrance examinations, she was especially stressed. When Otto went to fetch her every

day, he would bring her some mints and console her to not be worried, she would get into her ideal

school.

When she liked someone, all her aspirations and hard work were for that person.

Her first choice was the Communication University that he studied at, at that time she really thought

that once she got in she would be able to be together with him forever.

Looking back after a few months, it was just a joke.

At this thought, the candy in her mouth became bitter. However, what she did not expect was that when

the plane landed, she really met Otto.

Or to be more specific, she met him and his… woman.
