Chapter 125 – A lunch date with Cayden.
Lily’s POV
I decided to forget about the other night and concentrate on the most important thing right now; the renovations for my second bakery shop. I was really excited to start the preparations.
The fact that everything was going according to plan was really good and it made me happy too. When I got to the second shop, I wanted to call Cayden to come and see me to keep me company, but I thought against it.
He was probably busy anyway. So, I just continued with the supervision of everything.
A few hours later, I was already really tired and I went out to get some fresh air. I was in deep thoughts, when I suddenly saw Cayden approaching me.
I was really shocked and surprised and I had to look again to be sure.
Yes, he was the one.
He was grinning from ear to ear and I couldn’t help smiling at him too.
“Hey. You look stressed.” He said when he got to me. He was looking around the site and I wondered what he thought of everything.
“Oh wow. Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate Mr Cayden.” I teased him and he smiled at me.
With the way things were going between us, I wasn’t sure if we would ever be like before again and last night….
I decided to let things go because Cayden wasn’t even acting like he remembered what happened, so I just buried that because I didn’t want it to look like I was being persistent over the same issue.
“Do you want to get something to eat?” He asked me and I was about to decline, when my stomach growled loud enough for him to hear.
I placed my hands in my stomach and I looked away from him. I was really feeling embarrassed about it, but he seemed like he didn’t care about it.Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
“Oh, wow. Now, you can’t refuse my offer.” He said and laughed loudly. I also joined him and I looked at his face. I really loved seeing him like this.
“Sure. Let’s go.” I said and I was about to drag his hand for us to walk together, when he stopped me.
“What happened?” I asked him with a little frown in my face.
“Aren’t you taking your bag?” He said and he placed his hands on my waist. He dragged me closer and he put his mouth beside my ear.
“Because I don’t know if you’ll be coming back here today.” He whispered and I smiled at him. I knew what he meant and I was all for it.
I’ll always be available to him. Always.
Cayden’s POV
I hadn’t been given the time the CEO would come, so I was still feeling really relaxed. I knew that I still had time, that’s why I wasn’t bothering about it.
Lately, I’ve been receiving so many emails from an unknown person and the emails all had one message.
“I’m coming to see you. It’s really urgent.” I read all the messages and before replying to any of them, I read them more than four times. I didn’t know how to feel about it and how the person even got my email address.
I decided to reply to the person today and I took a deep breath before replying. “Who are you? I need to know.” That was the message that I sent to the recipient and I didn’t receive a reply.
A few hours later, I finally got tired of waiting for a reply. I had a more important thing to do, which was to go and see my Lily.
I got dressed and a few minutes later, I was done with everything. I grabbed my car keys and I went out in my car.
I didn’t know why I was feeling really anxious to see her, maybe it was because I had missed her so much.
While I was on the road, my mind kept on wandering around Lily and the weird emails that I’ve been receiving. They were starting getting weird and I stead of bothering myself with it, I decided to focus on just one person, which is the most important one, Lily.
I got to the site and I quickly got out of my car. I started walking to the site and I was really surprised to see that Lily was standing in front of the site. She looked really stressed and I doubled my steps.
When she saw me, she started smiling and I smiled at her too. I was really happy to see her. I got to her and I pulled her into a hug. The hug didn’t last for long, but it was enough for me.
“Hey. You look stressed.” I said and she replied with a more sarcastic comment. I asked her to have lunch with me and almost immediately, her stomach started growling, so she couldn’t even turn down my offer with excuses.
When I was about to get to her, I thought the air between us would have been a little awkward, but I loved the way we handled it. We didn’t even talk about what happened the last night we were together.
My eyes scanned her body slowly and I just knew that she wasn’t going home today. I moved closer to her and I whispered that to her. I told her to get ready to stay with me for the night and she smiled at me.
I helped her into my car and in less than three seconds, we already stormed off to the nearest fancy restaurant around.
When we got there, I brought the chair out for her to sit before sitting down myself.
“What do you want?” I asked her while staring at the menu in my hand. She didn’t answer me and I just ordered two plays of pasta for the both of us, with one of the fanciest wines that they had.
“You’re a saviour, Cayden. I was really starving.” She said and a sigh escaped from her mouth.
I smiled and I replied, “that’s why I’m the love of your life.”
She widened her eyes for a second before she smiled at me.
“Yeah, you’re right.”
