Mr. President’s 59

Linda thought her mind was playing tricks on her, or he was speaking to somebody else. This wasn’t a compliment she would receive on a normal day, so this seemed like an extraordinary day for her.

Maybe Oliver was speaking to somebody else, but it was just the two of them in the room. With her head still lowered, she murmured, “you are handsome.

She was surprised to have said those words as she had never said that to anyone before. Whatever gave her the courage to say those words must have been due to the positive energy she released when he complimented her.

Oliver smiled and realized she was the shy type, determined to get her out of her comfort zone. If he were to marry a woman like her, she would need to come out of her shell, as she would have to accompany him to various meetings,

Aside from his busy schedules, he would have to devote time to helping her build her confidence, but he still felt it would be all worth it in the end. This was the first time any woman other than family caught his interest. “I darn’t hear you.”

Linda wanted to dig a hole and bury herself in it, feeling so embarrassed that he was asking her to repeat the words she had said with much difficulty. There was no way she was going to repeat those words.

When Oliver noticed her discomfort, he still didn’t let the matter lie as they were just getting to know each other.

you better,” Oliver said softly, his gaze never leaving hers. She was a remarkable woman worth his attention. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Linda facepalmed, a shiver running down her spine, as Oliver pulled strands of hair from her face to her back. “Look at me.” he said softly. Linda lowered her hands with difficulty, a shy smile on her face.

Staring at him with her slightly big blue eyes, she found it hard to hold his gaze, thereby lowering it again. It was strange how he made her comfortable around him but also had a domineering aura around him.

Something inside of her wanted to know him better, to ask a lot of questions, but her timid personality prevented her from doing so. Oliver smiled.

“Much better. So how old are you?” He asked as he began to pour wine into the wine glasses. The night was going to be more interesting than he ever imagined. Nevertheless, he had to be sure she wasn’t underage

“I’m a nineteen–year–old college student in my final year,” she said shyly, avoiding his gaze, though all she wanted to do was look at him all day.

Oliver was very handsome, as he shared the same resemblance with his sister, Mercedes. Whereas working and being trained by Nathan caused him to adopt a lot of things which changed his personality to resemble that of the latter.

-You must be a smart one,” he complimented, recalling the efforts he had put into catching up on his studies after his bone marrow transplant. leading to his taking advanced courses. There was no doubt that Linda must have done the same.

“I took college classes while in high school, so I enrolled at seventeen, she revealed, confirming his suspicion. She was happy that he gave her a listening ear. Aside from her best friend, Gwen, and parents, no one ever took time to listen to her like Oliver was doing.

It was as if her words were so precious to him, it caused immense joy and ease in her h

heart, though she couldn’t voice it.

“Wow. I’m greatly impressed. He passed her one of the glasses of wine, but she was reluctant to take it, saying.

“That’s a first. They call me a need, but I have never consumed alcohol.”

Oliver smiled at her remark. Of course, she would be called a nerd. Looking at her, her books were her best friend, bur speaking of wine, there was

way to avoid it as he would have to be taking her along to his business meetings.

He was already thinking about their future together. I will teach you how to drink wine, but first of all, take the glass.”

Linda obeyed, but her hands shook, causing her to spill some of the drink due to her clumsiness. Afraid that he would despise her for it, she was amazed when he rather cook the wine and fed it to her before dropping the glass gently on the table before her.

“Keep calm and sip slowly,” he said.

Linda forced a smile, doing as told. “How does it taste!” Oliver asked eagerly, but the only thing showing on his face was a faint smile.

“Good,” she smiled shyly and said as Oliver encouraged her.

Then you

you should drink more,”

to the influence of the alcohol and didn’t encourage her to drink anymore.

This was her first time, and it was enough for the day. “What else do they call you?” He asked seriously, as he sipped his wine. This time, Linda didn’t look so shy as she responded,

“Ugly”

Oliver shook his head. “Nerd, that might be true, but ugly? I think they are just blind or jealous. Since we get to spend the night together, why don’t we shop tomorrow morning?” He asked seriously, ready to transform her.

Linda was shocked by the revelation. “We are spending the night together?” Her mother never mentioned it.

Oliver stood up and removed his blazer, suddenly feeling at home. Her presence was calming, and thus, he couldn’t waste the time they had to be together.

“Don’t worry. I won’t do anything to you.” He went over to hang his blazer in the closet, loosened his necktie as well as taking off his cufflinks.

He wore a more relaxed expression after doing so, but Linda was so nervous, she took his wine and gulped it down. When Oliver turned around and saw what she had done, he was slightly upset and chastised her.

What are you doing? Do you want to get drunk?” He didn’t want her to do anything out of the influence of alcohol and hence his worry. Her slightly big blue eyes held his brown eyes momentarily, and what she did next stunned him.
