Chapter 1636
Craig, he's just like that.
Asking him to whisper sweet nothings is like asking for the moon. But he shows his love through his actions, and you can tell it's sincere, not just some ploy to win you over. "Alright, I'll wait for you."
After hanging up, Aurora quickly gulps down some water, trying to keep her morning sickness at bay. She didn't want Craig to worry.
Though Craig now runs his own courier business, he still occasionally does deliveries himself. Hitting the highway always came with its risks, and Aurora didn't want him to be distracted and possibly get into an accident. Waiting at her place for less than half an hour, there was a knock at the door.
Because of her pregnancy, Craig wanted her to stay comfortable in her own home, so Aurora was still living in her place.
"Come in!"
Opening the door, she saw Craig in a T-shirt and black jeans, standing at the doorstep, holding a box of freshly-made pizzas. "Let's eat."
"Sure!" Aurora smiled, surprised by the weight of the box. "You got so much?"
It looked like enough for a week.
"Eat up. Whatever's left we can store in the fridge, and I'll finish it when I come back tonight."
"Okay." She nodded, noticing Craig seemed in a hurry to leave. "You're leaving already?"
"The renovation crew called me over to check on something at the house. I better take a look."
The house they were fixing up had a design Aurora had worked on herself.
"If you're busy, I could go instead?" She didn't have much else on her plate today.
Craig gently tapped her forehead. "You finish your meal and get some rest. It's on my way back to the depot anyway."
Aurora pouted, a bit sad she wouldn't see him until the evening.
But it was a crucial time for Craig's business, and she didn't want to be a burden.
"Alright, then come back soon."
"I will."
Craig caught the hint of her mood, gave a slight smile, and pulled her in for a deep kiss.
"Five o'clock. I'll be back, busy or not."
...
Craig drove to the new house first.
He thought it was something urgent, but it turned out to be a complaint from the neighbors about their front door being taller than theirs, which had brought the property management team to his doorstep.
After calling the renovation manager to ask

hesitated when he heard the

With a sigh, he finally said, "Order another door then, and replace the one for the neighbors as well."
Craig didn't want to spend the money, but it was Aurora's choice.
It was clear she had tried to keep costs down, so it didn't seem right to bother her over such a trivial matter.
After sorting out the house, Craig
was heading to his car when he

remember the guy's name, just the nickname.

Craig had no intention of starting a conversation, but as he passed by Duncan, the man called out to him.
"You're Aurora's boyfriend."noveldrama
It wasn't a question.
Craig paused, lifting an eyebrow, "Yes."
"Oh, you're the one... The one who was waiting outside the restaurant the day Aurora and I were supposed to meet for a blind date."
With Duncan's words, the atmosphere shifted.
