Addicted to Luring – Mister, Please Behave

Chapter 66:Rex’s Lover Would Not Be Bad

“Mr. Gavyn, the business deal from Avica has been canceled.” Clare was very careful. There had been too much news about Glory Group recently, and even Rex’s reputation had been affected. Many business partners had withdrawn their cooperation.

Rex had been burning with anger these past few days. His throat was burning with anxiety, and he didn’t want to say anything else. He waved his hand, gesturing for Clare to leave.

Clare pursed his lips, put down the contract, and walked out of the office. ……

Clare thought about it for a long while before dialing Wendy’s number. Tiredness could be heard on the other end of the line. Wendy seemed to have just woken up and said, “Mrs. Gavyn, this is Clare.”

Wendy straightened her back and asked, “Clare, what’s wrong?”

The person on the other end of the phone sighed.

“Mrs. Gavyn, Mr. Gavyn has been in a very bad state recently. Did you quarrel? I know that I shouldn’t have intervened in your affairs, but we all hope that you can be fine and don’t quarrel for no reason. Recently, the company has been affected by…… by the news, and Mr. Gavyn has been busy dealing with all kinds of things every day. I……”

Once Wendy lost her temper, no one could persuade her. Furthermore, she had fallen out with Rex previously. Even though Clare had said so, she had only replied indifferently, “I understand.”

There was a busy tone on the other end of the line. Clare held his phone and looked at Rex, who was in the office.

Love was such a troublesome thing!

Halfway through the design draft for Wendy’s graduation, she was called out by Daisy. The latter said that she would attend the wedding of a junior high school classmate with her. There was her ex-boyfriend at the party. She feared embarrassment, so she asked Wendy to go with her.

“Why don’t you just refuse it directly?” Wendy said to Daisy in the taxi.

Daisy’s eyes were a little strange. Wendy could tell at a glance what she was thinking. “Do you still have feelings for that man?”

“Not really.” Daisy tucked her hair behind her ear, revealing her small and exquisite ears. “After all, we were in a relationship back then. I don’t know his looks when I see him again.”

Wendy looked at her and said, “I didn’t expect you to have such a romantic story. Tell me about that.”

Daisy smiled and said, “Forget it; there’s nothing to talk about. Anyway, it’s all in the past. By the way, my classmate who got married is called Diana York. I heard that she and her husband met on the plane. Her husband is from Ercula, named…… called…… Albert. He is a model.”

When Wendy heard this name, her eyes were filled with surprise and joy. “Really? I know him!”

“Hmm? You know him?”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Wendy started chattering non-stop. “Albert is a walking sculpture. I heard that all the magazines in the country are vying for his endorsement rights.”

Speaking of this, Wendy suddenly remembered what Clare had said. If she could make Albert the spokesperson for Glory Jewelry, she would be able to win Glory Group’s reputation back.

“Daisy, do me a favor.” Wendy held Daisy’s hand with a sincere look in her eyes.

Daisy raised her eyes and stared at her. She kept having the feeling that something special was going to happen.

There were many guests at the wedding. As expected, the media were all blocked outside the door. When Wendy saw the media, she hurriedly grabbed Daisy’s hand and said, “Daisy, I’m going to the bathroom. You go in first.”

Then, Wendy walked toward the media.

Due to the recent news reports, Wendy had been targeted by the media a long time ago. If the media saw her here, they would probably take photos of her again. Wendy did not panic as much as before. Instead, she was calm and composed. Even though several media reporters simultaneously blocked her, she was still calm.

If she had succeeded this time, Rex might not have had such a headache.

“Excuse me, Miss Walters, why are you attending the wedding of Albert? Are you planning to cooperate with him in the future?”

Wendy glanced at the reporter. It turned out that she was a reporter from S Media. No wonder she was so sensitive to news outlets. It just so happened that she needed such a news outlet.

“There are some things that haven’t been decided yet. If there’s any news, I’ll share it with everyone.” Wendy’s words were ambiguous, leaving plenty of room for imagination.

“Miss Walters and Mr. Gavyn have been married for a while. Have you already held a wedding? Or what about delaying the wedding? Can our media be invited at that time?”

The questions in succession were nothing more than gossiping about Wendy and Rex’s marriage and then making up some fake news. Either they would say they were divorced or had a quarrel.

Wendy’s eyes stared straight at the reporter, and she beamed. “Then let me ask you, how often have you slept with your husband weekly?”

The reporter blushed and couldn’t speak for a long time.

Wendy looked at the various cameras and raised her chin slightly. “I’ll only say this once. I don’t think there’s a need to make it public, nor is there a need to tell anyone that he’s my man. Whether good or bad, Rex is my husband, so he can’t be judged. I’m the same. I hope everyone can focus on Glory Group’s development and my future works. If you have time to fabricate news, why don’t you go home and take care of your children? What do you think?”

The reporter instantly lost her cool after hearing Wendy’s words. She had wanted to create some gimmicks, but she hadn’t expected to be defeated by Wendy instead. She was originally a new reporter and didn’t know how to report back when she returned.

She should have thought of it earlier. How could Rex’s woman be inferior?

After Wendy said the same thing to the other media outlets, she walked into the wedding venue, found Daisy, and sat next to her with a smile on her face.

Daisy had already started to eat and drink. When she saw Wendy return, she handed her a glass of champagne. “Why are you back so late?”

Wendy tilted her head and clinked glasses with her. “It’s nothing. I just met a few reporters who were talking nonsense. I taught them a lesson.”

Daisy half understood and continued to eat her crabs while Wendy was thinking about how to see Albert. She shook Daisy’s arm and asked, “When will the wedding begin? Do you want to go to the back and see your classmates?”

“Oh, we don’t have a close relationship; we can just stay here.” Daisy only focused on eating, and Wendy looked at her helplessly. “You only know how to eat.”

Wendy took advantage of Daisy’s inattention to leave her seat and walk around. Finally, she saw the room where the bride was.

After pacing a few steps outside, Wendy knocked on the door. There was no response from inside. She tried to knock again, but the door opened by itself.
