Alpha Knight’s Cursed Mate

NIRVANA

He fucked me hard. I could still feel him inside me and how every muscle in my body tensed.

Knight was true to his words. He didn’t give me time to breathe until he was thoroughly done with me.

He flipped me over, fucked on four, ate me like he was starving until I came in his mouth, but he wasn’t done. He bent me over, then I was on my knees as he fucked my mouth.

I’d never felt so full and exhausted, yet I was wearing a satisfied smile on my lips.

Then I woke in the morning with the bright sunlight streaming through the open curtain.

Stretching my body like a cat, I felt all tensed muscles were still there, reminding me of what we had done before we fell asleep. Then, I burrowed my face on his chest with a happy sigh.

After he fed me breakfast in bed, he let me do my thing in the bathroom while he worked in his home office.

“I talked to Zarah and Sebastien last night. He said your grandfather could stay at the castle while this problem with the black virus is unsolved. And Zarah is still working on the potion.” When he came back, I was already wearing a T-shirt and jeans.

I put on my work boots. “Thanks. So, what’s our agenda for today? I still have to train with McKaye.”

“I will send you there and pick you up later. I have to go to the office downtown.”

“You don’t have to send me. I’ll ride with the boys.”

“Nirvana, I will send you there, okay? And Zarah said you shouldn’t carry the dagger around.”

I furrowed my brow. “Then where am I going to keep it? I think it’s best if it’s with me. At least I know it’s safe.”

He sighed. “Don’t put it anywhere. Keep it with you all the time.”

“No one can take it except that asshole, but okay.” But that was a theory. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him on the lips. “Don’t go to work alone. Take the guys with you.”

His phone rang. “Don’t worry. Luka will come with me.”

“I guess I’m fired at the testing room since I haven’t reported since day one.”

He smiled and pressed his lips against mine. “I will hire you once this is over.”

“We’ll discuss it later, but you have to answer your phone.”

“It’s Kaleb,” he said as he answered the call.

“What’s up?”

“I sent you a link. Check it out.”

He clicked the link and brought it to the local news website.

“According to the Sheriff who first arrived at the scene, the house was attacked by animals, damaging thousands of dollars worth of properties. The owner, Travis Cadogan, seemed unable to give a statement as he was brought to the nearest local hospital for observation. The Sheriff said the man had been traumatized and had developed some signs of mental illness behavior. Some heavy firearms and drugs and paraphernalia were found in the scene, and those men with him were arrested for illegal positions,” the female broadcaster reported.

“Huh. I didn’t see that coming,” he said as if surprised.

“Yeah, right. Who would have thought? I wonder what kind of animals entered his house. He must be so terrified that I feel bad for him.”

Knight grinned. “I should send a fruit basket to the animals.”

Once I began my training, Knight left for work. McKaye shifted to his unapologetic Sensei mode. Today, he would train me in basic hand-to-hand combat.

Twenty minutes passed, and I never got to hit him. Either my butt landed on the mat, or he tackled me and twisted my arm.

“I think this is useless. I can’t beat you.” I huffed a breath, wiping off my sweat.

“It’s not about beating me. You can’t beat me because I’ve never stopped training since I hit puberty. It’s about muscle memory when you are already fighting and protecting yourself. You have to anticipate your opponent’s move, weakness, and when he was distracted, but you never observed my movements for the last twenty minutes until you exhausted yourself. I basically have only three moves: punch, block, shift.”

“It’s actually five. You twisted my arm and locked my feet, landing my ass on the floor.”

“It’s not all about the moves you learned. You can be fast or stronger, but what you need are tactics and strategies.”

“Tell me, how can I defeat Cyrius?” I rolled my eyes. “He just moved a finger, and I was thrown away, and he stung me with his venom.

“Your heart will win against Cyrius, Vana. You have a heart, and he doesn’t. Remember that. Now, let’s start over.”

I found myself sitting on the bench alone. I was exhausted from the training but didn’t think I had learned anything.

Don’t get me wrong, McKaye was a good teacher. It was just me who was too eager to be an expert when fighters and martial experts had years and years of training and still never stopped.

“Hey.” I felt a kiss on my shoulder, startling me. “What are you doing here alone?”

“I don’t think I can do it, Knight.” I looked at him, and he almost caught me off guard. He was hot and handsome in his dark blue suit with sunglasses on. He smiled as he saw my reaction. He knew how good-looking he was, and it was distracting.

I lifted his sunglasses and set them above his head because I also wanted to see his eyes. “How can you be so perfect, Knight?”

“What do you mean?”

“You’re gorgeous, and damn, your eyes are so beautiful and expressive. Then you’re fucking rich, successful in business, you’re the boss and also an alpha, and people follow you everywhere. Then there’s me. I don’t have a job, savings, or home, and I have only one task, yet I’m failing it.”

“Hey.” He rounded to sit beside me. Then he put his arm around me and kissed the top of my head. “This is not the time to feel insecure and bad about what you’re not good at. You’re under a lot of pressure. You didn’t even know this world existed a month ago, yet you are here, and so far, you’re doing great handling all the changes in your life. You only have one task, but it’s bigger than me being a boss, an alpha, and a rich businessman.”

“That’s the thing. The pressure is on because if I fail this, I failed everyone, and I could never forgive myself, Knight.”

“Get up.” He got up, too, offering his hand.

“Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise.”

We arrived at the testing room ten minutes later, but what surprised me was everyone was around, even Shadow and Zarah.

“What’s this?”

“Have fun. You deserve this.”

Kailin came and took me away from Knight. Then, the lights were turned off and replaced with laser disco lights. The music started, blasting the entire room. Guys and gals began dancing to the center.

“Drink,” Kailin literally ordered me as she took the martini from Phin, who served as a bartender for tonight.

“Who’s idea is this?”

“Your man,” she said, kissing my cheek. “He feels bad for you. You worked so hard for days, and you barely slept at night. He wants you to have fun before the world ends.”

“Not funny.” I grabbed the martini and sipped it.

“So tonight, we’re not gonna talk about the world outside,” Shadow said, clinking her glass to mine.NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

“So what are we gonna talk about then?”

“We should have fun.” She looked at Zarah. “Maybe you can put a little potion to our drinks?

“Why? The alcohol content is not enough?”

I laughed, emptied my drinks, and ordered another. I slid off the stool and joined the guys dancing on the dance floor.

“Kailin, Shadow, Zarah, what are you waiting for?” I raised my hands in the air and danced. My heart started pumping hard. For a moment, I forgot why I was in this situation and what would be in the future.

I let myself lose in the music. Kailin joined me, just like in old times in college parties with horny college boys. I still wondered why I did not lose my virginity to one of them.

As if she read my mind, she said, “I missed this.”

“Me too, K.” My gaze landed on Knight with Kaleb and Dylan in what seemed like a serious conversation, but it was hard to concentrate with the loud music and the voices around me. “What do you think are they talking about?”
