EPISODE 37 Not a coincidence
MOON STONE PACK
Meagan made her way towards the ladies toilet with her thoughts drifting to the man she had met few days ago and whom she just found out to be the alpha of this pack. It was the least of her expectations. But thinking about him more, he had been so very handsome in the warlord outfit as if he was born to wear it.
Her mind replayed the Halloween night before her eyes. When he had responded to her thoughts of having her family at the party. What she thought was a coincidence has been planned by him. She could tell from when Hazel said she had told him about her. He wasn’t a stranger after all but he had put up a facade to be one. He knew her all along so why did he pretend not to know her?
Meagan ran her palms over her face as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. Finding out that he is the alpha made her realize one thing – she knew almost everything about him now. His name, his background and job, the things she never wanted to know was all in her head.
His name is Carl Damien. He is the alpha of moon stone pack and he has an active sense of responsibility. And from what she heard the alpha knows what is best for every member of this pack. How come she never gave it a thought that the warlord could be the same man when they discussed about the alpha’s past relationship? The reason wasn’t far fetched, Brianna and Hazel never made mention of his name. They had referred to him as the alpha throughout the discussion and that’s why she never gave it a thought that he could be the same man.
Brianna flashed in her mind. “Oh my God…” Meagan mumbled realizing that she had slept with the man Brianna has a huge crush on for years.
Brianna would be so disappointed if she finds out about the adventure. Everyone would be shocked to find out what they have done especially her sleeping with a man she just met about two days ago. She thought.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
Meagan groaned as tears pooled in her eyes when she recalled her question to the warlord. “Are you married?”
Why didn’t he just tell her the truth about his position in the pack right there? Why the pretense and lies of not being close to the alpha? He had even praised himself at that moment. Did he hide his identity on purpose just to get her to sleep with him or knowing that she wouldn’t have had anything to do with him if she knew the truth? Series of questions ran through her mind as she related each turn of events.
The thought of accepting the fact that the alpha knew her all along but wanted to flirt on purpose just to sleep with her scared her so much. It reminded her of her ex boyfriend, Max. A tear slipped down her cheeks at the thought of him. She had given herself freely to a man she barely knew but he knew her all along.
And it’s funny how she hadn’t mind a total stranger flirting with her in the first instance. But now Meagan really wished she had realized sooner that Carl was the same man all along. It wasn’t as if she expected anything to come out from the fling but she couldn’t help but be disappointed that he had deceived her.
Although it had been fun flirting with the warlord but she made up her mind to end things. Meagan concluded that she would find a way to make it clear to him that there would be no more adventure. She hoped that he gets the message if she kept her distance and pay no attention to him at the rehearsal and throughout the wedding ceremony.
The alpha was free to flirt with any woman since he doesn’t have a mate and he doesn’t want any form of commitment or relationship just like how he had said to Brianna. So Meagan knew she had to step out of this character of being Allison the witch of Maridom so no one would find out she had slept with the alpha in the space of two days. Words would travel around fast if anyone finds out the truth and the thought of it made her terrified.
Meagan has to put an end to everything to focus on her purpose for being at the wedding – to support her best friend and fulfill her function as a chief’s bridesmaid. She would keep her distance from Alpha Carl Damien.
She sighed. “Forget everything… Meagan.”
It wasn’t going to be easy but she hoped that keeping her distance would help get him out of her mind. She wiped her tears with her fingertips but it didn’t help to clear up the traces on her cheeks. She rinsed her face, rolled out tissue and wiped off the water.
“You can do this, Meagan.” She reassured herself with a small smile before stepping out of the ladies toilet.
