Chapter 910
Chapter 910
Slowly, Trevor let out a sigh of relief while grasping the phone. He glared at Bryson as if he wanted to tear him into pieces.
Bryson was utterly useless. He just couldn't do anything right! He ruined everything!
"Where's the box?"
The chip inside the box was much to Trevor's concern. He couldn't believe that it slipped from his fingers every time the opportunity was right in front of him. It was such a simple task, yet all he did was get himself into trouble!
Trevor flew into a rage at the thought of it.
"W-We burned the box! The box is too eyecatching, and we were afraid that it would get us into trouble if someone picked it up after we threw it away. I swear I'm not lying. At first, Amelia told me to keep the bracelet and she would keep the box, saying that the box was much more worthy than the bracelet. But I was still too scared of getting into trouble... We even had a big fight over this. In the end, we decided to burn it for safety's sake."
If the box was really gone, it was for the best!
Trevor's brows furrowed tightly and he glared at
Bryson with a piercing gaze. "Oh, really?"
He ended his question with a higher pitch. Undoubtedly, Trevor was questioning the reliability of Bryson's words.
"Yes! I swear that everything I said is all true! I will be struck by lightning and die a miserable death if I lied. Please don't hit me again, I'm not lying!"
Trevor turned to meet Holger's gaze, and the latter nodded. Trevor then warned Bryson, saying, "If I ever find out you're lying to me again, your brain will be scooped out and fed to the sharks!"
"I would dare! Mr. Clements, please spare me!"
After that, Trevor asked, "Who did you meet today?"
"Huh?" For a moment, Bryson looked confused.
"How did you get injured?"
Reading between the lines, Bryson quickly realized what Trevor really meant. Pointing at his wound, Bryson answered without any hesitation, "Do you mean this? I stabbed myself to scare the loan sharks away! I didn't meet anyone..."
"Well, that's the answer I'm looking for."
Trevor beckoned to his men to release their hold on Bryson.
"I'll let the matter drop here. If I hear a single word about our meeting or the formula anywhere else, you'll face the consequences!"
Trevor's gaze swept over Bryson as he spoke. His frosty look terrified Bryson so much that Bryson curled up into a ball and mumbled, "I know nothing at all, nothing!"
Trevor then gestured to Holger with a knowing look and strode out of the warehouse.
Holger took out a cheque worth 100,000 dollars and shoved it into Bryson's hand. "You are lucky enough today since Mr. Clements is in a good mood. If this ever happened again, get yourself a coffin in advance."
After saying that, Holger promptly followed after Trevor.
Trevor passed Holger the phone when both of them were back in the car. After dealing with all the mess, Trevor pinched his eyebrows to relax.
Holger briefly went through the photos on the phone and said, "It looks like this is the formula we've been looking for all this while. Trevor, what's your next move?"
Although the original piece was lost, it was sufficient for them to have a copy of the formula.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
"There's an expert at Willy's place. She should be able to easily tell whether it's legitimate. We can't do anything with the photos anyway. Just send him the photos. I don't trust Bryson at all!"
Trevor was still in the midst of anger as he answered.
"Haha."
Seeing Trevor's reaction, Holger shook his head gently as he chuckled. "Trevor, you are getting more and more humane."
Back in those days, Trevor managed to remain calm even when he was on the edge of exploding with rage. However, things had changed a lot ever since he got married.
"Bryson is just a nobody. Don't take it to heart. He wasn't that stupid to lie to you after you've warned him."
"But this nobody messed up the whole thing! Since the formula has been leaked, our efforts are most probably in vain. We have to start from scratch again!"
No wonder Heavens coffee and Hell Ice Liquor were made, perhaps one of them was from this half of the formula. Thinking of spending a good half- day with Elaine just to get the half of the formula, Trevor was much pissed off.
Shaking the phone in his hand, Holger spoke again.
"Not all is in vain. I think Mr. Bowles can make some progress with this. Trevor, keep in mind that haste makes waste." "Alright, let's go!"
Things about the formula had finally come to an end, and Trevor was in a good mood on this day.
It was already 4 in the afternoon after he finished signing all the documents. Staring at the clock, he closed the pen cap and picked up his car keys on the table.
He planned to visit Victoria.
A batch of new clothes arrived at the studio, thus Victoria and her shop assistants closed the studio early and cleaned up. They redecorated the front desk and a new studio background was set up.
The models were well-dressed and
their poses were designed. As usual, Victoria placed her handmade signature card beside the
net
mannequin, which was decorated with dried flowers. The studio was filled with the scent of dried flowers, basking under the light of the crystal lamp.
When the model had been covered
in an anti-dust cover, she noticed that the corner of the clothes was folded and the wig looked a little messy. As Victoria was
detail oriented and a perfecti
she had no choice but to open the cover to smooth the folded corner
out.
"Abigail, iron the corners of the clothes a little longer. Don't leave any folds. Pay attention to the height when hanging them up, so as to avoid pleats and hooks. Silks are very delicate..."
"Agnes, remember to spray the wig in advance to keep the wig smooth. Give me the flowers later."
Victoria was busy adjusting the clothes and wig while giving orders. After she was done with checking, she turned around and was greeted by a large bouquet of beautiful pink tulips. The bouquet almost hit her face and she couldn't see the face behind the flowers. Feeling exhausted, Victoria's temper flared up in annoyance.
She yelled, "Who are you? Didn't you see we are closed? Also, who told you that I like pink tu..."
Just before she threw the flowers to the side, the handsome face behind the bouquet came into her sight. All of a sudden, she stopped and smiled in surprise.
"Honey? Why are you here?"
Taking a step forward, Victoria wrapped her arm around Trevor's neck. She turned her head around and glanced at the shop assistants who were smirking behind him.
Why didn't they tell her that Trevor was coming? They only knew to tease her.
"Who else did you expect?"
He tapped her nose and teased, "It seems like someone hasn't been well behaved..."
He narrowed his eyes and wondered who would be so bold as to openly lay their hands on his woman.
Victoria stuck out her tongue roguishly and replied,
"How is that possible? Who dares to be presumptuous under your nose? Why are you here at this time? Did something happen?"
It was strange for him to show up all of a sudden. Was he here to tell her that he had to get close to Elaine again for his plan?
"Girls, resume with your work!"
Victoria looked around the studio with the flowers in her arms as she instructed her assistants. After she made sure that everything was fine, she led
him into the office.
"Come on, let's talk inside!"
This time around, Victoria felt completely different when she saw the same type of bouquet of flowers. Unexpectedly, she didn't show any traces of surprise upon seeing the flowers Trevor gifted her, which really put him off.
As soon as the door was closed behind them, Victoria was pressed against the door and Trevor leaned in for a kiss. She had nowhere to escape.
Her red lips, which were shining in a rosy glow, were covered by Trevor's lips. Soon after that, Victoria felt the fiery desire within her was draining her energy, and the flowers fell to the floor from her loosened grip...
