Chapter 12: You Will Not Disrespect Me
Chapter 12: You Will Not Disrespect Me
"Money and power are one thing, but they're not you, Mr Martinez. If I have you, I have everything."
"What are you offering then? Your body, that paper, or the deal with my Grandma?"
"You sound like you won't give me a chance no matter what I do." Fleur clapped back.
Olivier lit a cigarette. The flame of the lighter shielded any emotion that may have appeared in his eyes.
He took a swig and exhaled clouds of blue-ish white smoke.
"You've been a pain in my side the entire day. I really screwed myself over by letting you state whatever
condition you like, huh?"
Fleur had played coy to get the two million this morning, then later tried to sleep with him, and now she
had managed to get Virginie to leave, all in one day.
Odette wanted to know what Olivier meant by Fleur's conditions, but Fleur's voice interrupted her from
asking.
"First she refused your marriage proposal, then called you the day after to see if you were still upset at
her." In the hospital elevator today Olivier had responded to Virginie that he did not have the energy to
be upset with her everyday. Even an idiot would know what Virginie was doing when she asked Olivier
that.
"Later, after having too much to drink, she calls you to come to pick her up yet she can't stop whining
about her ex when you do. When she sees me talking to you, she tries to appease you and play coy."
Fleur's voice was tinged with mockery. "Did you look for that kind of pain in your ass yourself, Mr
Martinez?"
Odette was bewildered. This woman must be crazy! She would have never dared speak to Olivier like
this even though they had known one another for more than a decade.
But Fleur was not done.
She added, "What kind of idiot looks for such a way to suffer? How can all that compare with my piece
of paper?"
Odette quietly scratched her nose, her concern for Fleur was fading, replaced with an interest in just
how Olivier would respond.
The man's face was completely devoid of emotion.
Olivier signalled with a wave of his hand. The club manager who had been waiting by the side came
over and greeted, "Yes, sir."
"Take her away." Olivier pointed at Odette with a lift of his chin.
"Uh..."
He was just a club manager, not someone who could move, let alone touch, someone like Odette
Durand.
"Would you rather I do it?" Olivier said in a low voice.
Odette clicked her tongue, resigned. "Fine, I'll leave you two alone. Just remember before you do
anything to her, she's my friend."
With that, Odette left.
......
Only Fleur and Olivier were left in the hallway now. There was uncomfortable stuffiness in the air as the
two faced one another.
Olivier silently walked towards Fleur, a fierce, dark air around him. It made Fleur tremble for just a
second.
She wasn't sure if that was what made her notice a strong masculine scent coming off from Olivier. It
made her shiver.
Until pain rang through her lower jaw, jolting straight to her brain.
It felt like her bones were cracking.
...
Olivier's stone-cold face was inches away from her. "Do you think I'm an idiot who would make a
deceitful, troublemaking snake such as yourself my wife?" All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Fleur could not speak. Olivier had a tight, painful grip on her.
"Fleur Leroy, you can make a fuss, or pretend to be jealous, but you will not disrespect me."
