Chapter 775
Chapter 775
Kelly did not know how she walked back. She felt lighter than air, as though she was trapped in some
kind of fog.
It was only when she returned to her room and sat by the bed that she felt a sense of reality.
She subconsciously wanted to contact Elena, but when she grabbed her phone, she remembered that
Elena was busy and probably didn’t have time to care about her trivial matters.
Kelly lay on the bed in a daze. In just a moment, her pillow was wet.
She raised her hand to wipe away her tears. She felt really miserable.
Initially, she was imprisoned by Ian and tried to escape.
Later, when she finally fell in love with him and wanted to be with him, she realized that she was just a
substitute.
‘How interesting. How very interesting. No wonder Ian liked me so suddenly. There was no reason for
it. He simply wanted me. It turns out that I am Fanny’s substitute,’ she thought.
It felt as if there was a wad of cotton stuffed in her throat, causing her to ache. It took Kelly a good
while to quell this sensation and let her emotions subside.
On the other end, Fanny closed the book and placed it in her room before going to look for Ian.
Han had not slept well for the past few days. He had dark circles under his eyes and he looked tired.
Fanny stared at him for a while before raising her hands, wanting to massage his temples.
Ian subconsciously dodged her.
“Don’t move.” Fanny pulled his head back. “Don’t move. I’ll massage your temples for you. Is your head
hurting again? When will this old illness heal? Didn’t I tell you not to worry and make things difficult for
yourself? Your headache is purely because you’re thinking too much.”
Fanny rambled on like a kind sister. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Ian seemed to have returned to his childhood and did not continue to dodge her.
“Where did you go?” Ian closed his eyes and asked her.
Fanny smiled. “I went to meet Kelly. Speaking of which, we really hit it off. We both look alike. We both
like drama and have the same hobbies.”
“Really?” Ian was surprised. He knew that Kelly liked acting, but he did not know that Fanny also liked
acting.
‘Isn’t she a psychologist? Why does she suddenly like drama?’ he thought.
“I don’t suddenly like it.” Fanny pouted. She was very dissatisfied with Ian’s negligence towards her.
“I’ve liked it since I was young. However, you know that my parents are psychologists. They studied
psychology since I was young. How could they let me act?”
lan nodded. He was not interested in Fanny’s matters.
Fanny could tell that Ian was being perfunctory. Her eyes went extremely dark.
She took out a handkerchief and handed it to lan.
“What are you doing?”
“Silly Ian.” Fanny was exasperated. “Can’t you see that it’s going to rain? I say, how do you woo girls?
You’re not considerate at all. Don’t you know that rain will dirty a girl’s shoes? You can bring a
handkerchief to her.”
Ian’s eyes turned cold as he snorted. “I don’t have the time to care about her!”
Although he said that, Ian did not reject the handkerchief anymore. Instead, he let Fanny put the
handkerchief in his pocket.
Soon, it was time for breakfast. When lan went out, he realized that the entrance of the courtyard was
empty.
He frowned imperceptibly. He was a little unhappy.
Cyril did not understand. “Mr. Walter, what’s wrong?”
“It’s fine.” Ian’s face was gloomy as he said coldly, “In a while, tell the kitchen that those who don’t eat
on time in the future won’t have anything to eat. Don’t leave any food behind.”
Kelly, who had rushed over behind him, heard this and her heart turned cold.
He had probably intended for her to hear him!
‘How heartless is this man? When his true love came back, he cast me, a substitute, aside and doesn’t
even want to give me food” she thought.
