Chapter 67 Room Card
Chapter 67 Room Card
Chapter 67 Room Card
A flashy sky-blue sports car drove into the farm on the mountaintop.
The roar of the engine startled the people chatting leisurely on the farm.
"Who's here?" Cathy was the first to turn around and ask.
The car door opened, and Eric got out. Taking off his sunglasses, he leaned on the car door and waved at Louis.
"Louis, the weather is really nice. Guess who's here?"
From the other side of the car, a pair of long legs stepped onto the ground first, and the next second, Blanche got out of the car.
And then she saw the man not far away. Her eyes flickered as she wondered why Louis was here too.
She glanced at Eric, saw the smirk on his face, and realized that he had deliberately brought her here.
Louis glanced at the two of them. "Why didn't you tell me before you guys came?"
"It's not too late now. Louis, why didn't you bring Blanche along when you came out to have fun? Don't you know she fell off the stairs at home and got badly injured? Don't you feel sorry for her?" Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Louis frowned.
Did Eric think that the injuries on Blanche were from falling off the stairs?
Louis' gaze became fixated on Blanche.
She was in a white t-shirt and blue denim shorts. Her long legs were dazzling.
She had removed the thick gauze from her face and was wearing a thin mask to cover her wounds. Her long black hair draped over her back, exuding charm.
Blanche felt a bit embarrassed when Eric mentioned her fall down the stairs.
She chose not to respond to his words and ignored Louis' scrutinizing gaze.
The sky was blue, orange trees were everywhere, and the air was exceptionally fresh, making her feel much lighter and as if her bad luck was shaking off.
However, Cathy's jealous gaze followed Blanche everywhere. She pinched the brim of her sun hat to cover the hatred flashing in her eyes.
She couldn't understand why Eric had brought Blanche here, and it made her so angry. On the surface, she maintained her sweet image.
"Eric, what brings you here? Don't you usually dislike participating in these company activities?"
"You guys have been here for two days, and I thought it would be fun. So, I came to join you guys."
Cathy turned her head away and pouted. But why did he have to bring Blanche along? She wished she could keep Blanche and Louis apart forever.
"We'll go check in first." Eric closed the car door with a bang.
At the front desk, Blanche took out her ID first. "I want a single room."
Eric immediately took her ID back.
"Blanche, you don't need to check in. You can stay in my brother's room. I'll go get the room card from him."
"It's okay," Blanche blurted out.
But Eric had trotted out.
Outside, a senior executive was discussing business with Louis. Seeing Eric coming over, the executive stopped talking, indicating that Eric should speak first.
"Excuse me, Louis, give me your room card. Blanche needs to put her things away." Eric smirked, extending his hand.
Louis frowned. Eric's grin made his request for the room card seem suggestive.
Upon hearing that, the executives nearby all showed a deep smile.
Not far away, Cathy heard this and turned livid.
"Hurry up! Blanche is waiting." Eric urged again.
Louis glared at Eric as a warning before taking out the room card from his pocket and handing it to Eric.
Eric rushed back to the front desk and handed the card to Blanche.
"Here's the card for my brother's room."
"It's fine. I've already checked into a room."
Eric frowned in confusion.
"Why did you do that?"
Blanche took the card handed over by the clerk and casually said, "I asked the owner here. Their rooms are generally small, and it will be a bit crowded for two people to live in. We'll rest better if we have our own rooms."
Wasn't sleeping on the sofa at home enough for her? Her neck was about to get a crick from it. She wasn't foolish.
Eric still didn't quite understand, but since Blanche had already checked in, he stopped advising her and checked in for himself.
In the afternoon, everyone started to feel tired and began to go back to their rooms for a nap.
When Louis returned to his room, he found that there was no one inside. There was no movement in the bathroom, and Blanche's luggage was not there.
So, that woman didn't come to stay in his room.
"Louis, are you going to take a nap too?" Cathy knocked on the door and peeked in, her eyes scanning the room.
Cathy was very upset and planned to stir up trouble. However, she found that there was no trace of Blanche in this room.
She instantly felt much better.
"Yes, do you need something?" Louis took his gaze back from the bathroom.
Cathy smiled gently, "I made a fruit salad and brought you a portion. I'll put it on the table. You can go ahead and rest."
After putting it down, Cathy tactfully slipped out and thoughtfully closed the door. As long as Blanche wasn't here, it was fine.
Louis looked at the tidy sheets. The curtains were not drawn, and the sunlight shone in through the window, making the sheets glow.
For some reason, when he saw the glowing white sheets, he thought of Blanche's snow-white legs.
And her enticing perfume. Even though she wasn't in this room, his nose seemed to be filled with her scent.
Lying on the bed, Louis felt like he was losing control. His mind was filled with images of Blanche's legs swaying.
In the end, he jumped up and left the room. Where on earth was this woman staying?
