Chapter 275
Jayden and Allison walked towards Lisa’s room and stared around before opening the door.
They walked inside the room, closing the door behind them.
“Where are we going to start from?” Allison asked.
“I don’t know,” Jayden said as he moved towards her wardrobe, and opened it. He closed it back when he saw nothing.
They both sighed.
“There’s nothing here,” Jayden said but then Allison paused when she saw a document, under her dressing table.
“I found something,” Allison said as she took the document. She opened it and saw Matthew’s picture on the front page:
“See something”, Allison said and Jayden moved towards her and then saw the document, it had a matthew’s picture on the front page.
“We need to take this to Aunt Jessica,” Jayden said as they closed the document and then paused when they heard the door open at once.
Jayden and Allison stared at each other with a nervous look on but then heaved a sigh of relief when they saw it wasn’t Lisa. It was the maid who was cleaning the room.
She was holding a white duvet.
“Hello,” Jayden and Allison smiled at the maid who stared at them weirdly wondering what they were doing in Lisa’s room.
“We were about to leave, aunt Lisa would be waiting for us to get this to her, you can clean the room,” Allison said as she held Jayden’s hands and they both walked out of the room.
They stood outside and heaved a deep sigh of relief.
“That was close, we were almost caught,” Jayden muttered.
“We were caught, we should pray Aunt Lisa doesn’t notice the book is missing and hope the maid won’t tell her too,” Allison said as they both walked to Jessica’s room.
They opened the door to her room and met her asleep. They didn’t want to wake her up, so they dropped the document beside her on the bed and then walked out of the room.
Meanwhile, Lisa is seen looking so frustrated as the kids keep questioning her, asking her strange questions.
She was already fed up from their questions and Allison and Jayden who had gone to get their jackets had yet to return and they were taking too long.
“Your siblings are taking too long in bringing you guys jackets, I would go check what they are doing,” Lisa said and stood up. The kids stared at each other at once with a nervous look on.
“Aunt Lisa” Aubrey called and Lisa turned to her.
“Yes,” she responded.
“Uhm, we…..” Aubrey paused when she saw Allison and Jayden climbing down the stairs.
“Thank God” she muttered and heaved a sigh of relief.
“What took you guys so long? And where’s the jacket?” Aubrey asked as she moved closer to the both of them and then whispered.
“Did you find anything?” She whispered.
“Not really,” Allison whispered back.
“Aunt Lisa, we are so sorry, we won’t be going to get ice cream anymore, my mommy will be home soon,” Jayden said and Lisa stared at them with a suspicious look on her face.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Something was going on between these kids, she thought as she watched them walk away.
She quickly pushed away the thought of them from her mind, they were kids and what do they know, she thought to herself and went back to her room.
Meanwhile, Hannah and Brandon are seen walking out of the company, side by side with a client beside them, while they are talking.
“Thank you for partnering with our company, I promise you will not regret it,” Hannah said and the client smiled at the both of them and nodded in response, and with that, he walked to his car and zoomed off.
The moment the car the client drove away, Brandon turned to Hannah, who then looked away from him.
“We should head home now, it’s late,” he said as she brought out his phone.
“I’ll get my bag from my office,” Hannah said and walked inside the company.
The moment she left, a black car came to a stop in front of the company, and the Least person Brandon had expected climbed out of the car.
“Jeff Mikealson…” Brandon muttered with a surprised look on his face. He wondered what he was doing at his company.
“Brandon” Jeff called between gritted teeth as he staggered out of his car. He looked so drunk.
“What are you doing here, Jeff?” Brandon asked with a straight look as he tucked his hands in his pocket.
“Is that how you welcome your brother? How dare you? How dare you buy the land I had wanted to purchase for my company? Haven’t your family ruined my life enough?” Jeff yelled angrily and Brandon stared at him confused wondering what he was talking about.
“Oh stop giving me that look, I know what you are doing Brandon you asshole” Jeff yelled and Brandon scoffed.
“I never bought any land, Jeff. You came to the wrong address” Brandon said but then Jeff frowned and wanted to punch Brandon, but then Brandon was quick to hold his fist and push him back making him fall on the ground.
That land was Jeff’s only hope of restoring his company, but then the land had been bought there by leaving him with nothing.
“What’s going on here?” Hannah muttered as she walked out of the company. She raised her eyebrows as she saw Jeff on the ground.
“I don’t know, he’s talking about me buying a land. He looks wasted and I’m sure he doesn’t know what he is talking about” Brandon said and Hannah sighed her eyes as she stepped forward, staring at Jeff who was on the ground, struggling to stand up.
“I was the one who bought the land, Jeff, it wasn’t Brandon, it was all me,” Hannah said with no expression on her face and Jeff stared at her with a surprised look on his face.
“What? You bitch, how dare you?” He yelled and Hannah laughed.
“This is just the beginning Jeff, I’m going to take away everything you’ve worked so hard to build, till you feel every bit of pain I felt in the past,” Hannah said and glared at him one more time before walking to the car.
“I will make you pay for this” Jeff yelled and suddenly he started throwing up.
“Get rid of him,” Brandon said to the security, and with that, he walked to the car.
He stared at Hannah and then ignited the engine.
“I thought, you didn’t want to get revenge on him anymore because of his son?” Brandon asked.
“I didn’t know he was planning on buying the land, I had already bought it before I found out,” she said in response and Brandon hummed before zooming off.
