Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 818

Many fans initially stood by Juztin, but things quickly took a turn. They began to lash out, throwing insults his way. Still, a lot of folks online kept their cool and even offered their well-wishes.

"We're not getting any younger; let's not mess up his love life."

"Seems like the old fella's snagged himself a young one. She's only 19!"

"Picture this: a 30-year-old Juztin crying under the covers after reading mean comments, and his 19-year-old girlfriend trying to comfort him."

The online chatter is always shifting. With Juztin's recent contract drama, he's been all over the trending lists. But Juztin didn't seem to care much. When Chloe saw him, he was all smiles. He was especially happy to catch up with Connor and Chloe.

As soon as they walked in, he proudly showed off an ultrasound image: "My daughter, doesn't she look just like me?"

Chloe glanced at the ultrasound, where the fetus looked more like a bean sprout than anything human, let alone a gender.

Before Chloe could comment, Connor peeked and joked, "Isn't this from a photo taken at the back of your concert?"

Juztin just sighed.

Dinner was a blast. Everyone was chatting and laughing, making it a warm and lively evening. Except for Lucas, who stayed quiet, just focusing on his meal. He finished up quickly and stood: "I'll go check on Summer; you guys enjoy."

For a moment, the table went silent. Lucas made his way to the nursery. Even though he was still part of the "Heaven" project, he made sure to drive two hours back home every day just to see Summer.

Summer had grown a bit. When awake, her bright, grape-like eyes were especially striking. Seeing everyone so happy tugged at Lucas's heart.

Especially watching the loving

glances between Chloe and Connor. They seemed genuinely happy....But that happiness was supposed to be his. It felt like fate was playing a cruel joke on him.

Soon, there was a knock on the door. It was already ajar. Lucas turned to see Chloe standing there.noveldrama

Chloe said, "I came to see the little one."

"Come on in," Lucas replied, his tone flat.

Chloe walked over, and Lucas stood

to hand the baby to her. After

ne

playing with the baby for a bit, Chloe remarked, "This child really loves to smile."

Lucas responded, "Usually, she hardly ever smiles or cries. It seems she only smiles when you're holding her." Chloe looked down, puzzled, "Really?"

Lucas's words seemed to hint at something deeper: "Chloe, you and this child have a special connection."

Chloe found Lucas's words a bit strange. "What kind of connection?"

Lucas's gaze deepened. Then, out of the blue, he asked, "Would you like to be her mother?"

Chloe stared at him, eyebrows knitted in disbelief, "Lucas, do you know what you're saying?"

Lucas's eyes darkened. Seeing

Chloe's cautious and surprised look, he looked away. Something felt like it piereed his heart. It was as if she feared he was thinking something inappropriate.

Lucas added, "Summer has grown up without a mother, and I'm worried I can't provide her with a complete upbringing. I hope you can be her godmother."
