Chapter 789 Increased Addiction To Smoking
Skylar immediately smelled a strong scent of smoke when she entered the room. Tobias held a cigarette between his fingers, and the room was filled with an incredible amount of smoke. Skylar looked at his tall and sturdy figure. It's always like this. I feel a sense of unfamiliarity when we haven't seen each other for a day.
She asked, “How many cigarettes have you smoked? The room is filled with so much smoke. I'm afraid I'll get lung cancer from your secondhand smoke.”
Tobias walked to the window and opened it to air the smoke. Just when Skylar wanted to take off her coat, Tobias stopped her and stated, “Close the window before removing your coat. Why are you here? You didn't even let me know in advance.”
Skylar replied, “I wanted to surprise you. Well, it didn't go well. I failed to surprise you but also caused you trouble.”
Tobias tucked the loose strands of Skylar's hair behind her ear. “Don't say that. You didn't cause me any trouble. I was just worried that you'll be tired from traveling all the way here. It's about one in the morning now.”
Skylar began to feel lethargic after he said that. She wrapped her arms around Tobias' waist tightly like a koala.
“It's not tiring for me. I have an audition tomorrow morning, and I have to go back in the afternoon. I thought I'd drop by to see you.” This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
Skylar's honesty somewhat disappointed Tobias. He assumed Skylar had come specifically to see him, but he thought too much. Skylar was merely passing by.
Tobias leaned down to kiss her neck, softly nibbling on it. He muttered, “So you didn't come all the way to see me. I thought you couldn't be away from me for more than a day.”
Skylar felt something press against her thighs, and Tobias' hand had already slipped into her pants.
“You should leave something behind since you came to see me. Are you tired?”
Skylar wanted to say she was tired, but her hand involuntarily began to undo Tobias' belt as his warm lips drew closer.
Just then, a knock on the door interrupted them. Skylar signaled with her eyes for Tobias to open the door, but the man was unwilling to go and kept holding her hand.
Skylar could only bite his lip lightly to snap him back to his senses.
A surge of anger welled up in Tobias. After all, no one liked to be interrupted at this moment. He opened the door and saw Penelope standing outside.
Penelope looked at Tobias. His shirt was loosely buttoned, and there were faint hickey marks on his neck. Clearly, Skylar gave them to him.
They're so impatient. Skylar has just come up, and they are already in such a rush. Tobias always emanates a cold and chaste aura, yet it appears he's quite lustful.
“I... I came to find Skylar. We mixed up our luggage,” Penelope explained, steeling herself. She knew that no one would want to be disturbed in this situation.
Skylar heard Penelope's voice and quickly walked to the door, handing over the luggage.
Penelope took the luggage. “You two can carry on. I won't disturb you anymore. Skylar, we'll leave at five thirty tomorrow morning. Rest early, and don't get too tired.”
Tobias initially cleared his schedule to accommodate Skylar, but little did he know that Skylar was only going to be here for a couple of hours. His entire schedule had been thrown off.
Tobias and Skylar lost their interest after Penelope's interruption. Tobias sat at the foot of the bed and lit a cigarette. He knew that Skylar did not want to smell the smoke, so he opened the window.
“Can't you quit smoking? Your addiction is getting worse.”
