Goodbye, My Love

Chapter 1437

Cayson’s gaze turned frosty as he fixed his stare on Reynolds. Hearing him denigrate Loraine with such repugnant words, Cayson was awash with rage.

“Reynolds, refrain from projecting your sordid conjectures onto Lorrie.

She is unlike other women, and besides, I have no interest in any other woman!” He abandoned any semblance of civility and addressed him directly.

With a derisive sneer, Cayson taunted, “Everything you’ve just said, do you dare repeat it in front of Mr. Torres? Reynolds, aren‘t you afraid

I’ll report your words to him?”

Reynolds was ambitious, but he was also circumspect and apprehensive.

Under Aldo’s pressure, he could only resort to subversive tactics like a rodent skulking in a dark alley.

Confronted with Cayson’s steadfast refusal and counter threat, Reynolds found himself embroiled in a mix of frustration and indignation. Yet, he couldn’t afford to relinquish this opportunity he’d been eyeing for ages.

He’d been biding his time for such a golden chance, an opportunity that was elusive. With Loraine away from the company and Aldo out of the picture, if he could sway Cayson, the acting CEO, he’d easily secure the advantages he coveted.

Suppressing his rage, Reynolds gritted his teeth and levelled a glare at Cayson.

“How much has the Torres family paid you? Is it worth being their Lapdog Like this?”

Cayson’s conduct bewildered him.

Typically, any man would have been enticed by the prospect of having

Loraine at his beck and call. Yet, regardless of how he threatened or tempted Cayson, the latter displayed no inkling of interest.

What could possibly be Cayson’s motive? Could it be the purportedly nonsensical notion of true Love?

Having lived a considerable number of years, Reynolds had never subscribed to such an idea. He persisted in his attempts to create discord, nurturing the faintest hope of sowing discontentment in

Cayson. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Unperturbed, Cayson responded evenly, “Loraine personally entrusted me with the management of Universe Group. That’s all the incentive I need.

I will safeguard Loraine’s interests and won’t permit anyone with hidden agendas to stir up trouble.”

He cast an icy stare at Reynolds and continued, “Reynolds, you’ve been a part of Universe Group for an extensive period. I hope not to hear such distasteful words from you again. Be warned, if I discover that you’re engaged in any disruptive activities within the company, I won’t be lenient.”

Having delivered his statement, Cayson didn’t waste any more time and briskly walked off, leaving Reynolds scowling.

Clenching his fist, Reynolds grumbled under his breath, ““Cayson…

You’re indeed an unwaveringly loyal hound of the Torres family!”
