Chapter 1220: Treasure Hunt In The Desert
Chapter 1220: Treasure Hunt in the Desert
Even the Grandmaster-level practitioners were somewhat injured. However, Peterson Abernathy and Daniel Williams led their men tirelessly towards the stairway. Chris Shelby glanced back at the scattered bronze Terracotta Warriors on the ground before leading Tiger and the others away.
Soon, they arrived at the fourth palace. The fourth palace was an endless desert. At this moment, Daniel Williams and the Abernathy family were searching for something in the desert.
Tiger asked curiously, "Boss, what are they looking for?"
Chris Shelby stroked his chin and said, "They must be searching for treasures. There are treasures in this desert!"
"I found it! I found a treasure!" someone shouted excitedly. Everyone turned to see an Abernathy family member holding a sword. Anyone knowledgeable could tell at a glance that it was a precious sword. "This is a sword forged from meteorite iron!" someone exclaimed. Instantly, many eyes were filled with envy and desire for that sword. Some people showed greedy expressions and instinctively moved closer to the person holding it.
At this moment, Peterson Abernathy's voice rang out, "This belongs to the Abernathy family. If anyone wants to take this sword, they will have to get my permission first."
Chris Shelby glanced at the sword in the man's hand and lost interest immediately. Although the sword was good, compared to his own, it was nothing but trash. Moreover, Chris Shelby had deep feelings for his sword. Many years ago, during a battle on the frontier, Chris Shelby personally killed an enemy general. Master William was so pleased that he personally awarded Chris Shelby this sword. Since then, this sword had accompanied Chris Shelby through countless battles, drinking the blood of numerous enemy leaders.
Daniel Williams suddenly laughed loudly, "Mr. Abernathy is right. If you want treasures, find them yourselves. Don't even think about taking what isn't yours, or don't blame me for being rude!"
For warriors, having a good weapon was a dream come true. Many people swallowed hard and suppressed their eager hearts, continuing to search in the desert.
Meanwhile, Tiger and others also joined in the treasure hunt. Searching for treasures in the desert was an exciting and thrilling activity. No one had expected that the fourth palace would be a desert or that there would be treasures buried within it.
Everyone worked diligently, searching carefully in the desert. However, finding something in the desert wasn't easy. Even Chris Shelby had to search with his bare hands.
Chris Shelby looked around and saw that everyone was involved in the treasure hunt. As time passed, people continued to work enthusiastically because within half an hour, several more treasures were found-one by a royal guard and another by someone brought by Daniel Williams.
Suddenly, while Chris Shelby was using his sword to search, he sensed something faintly and his eyes lit up. There was something there! But it was very small, almost negligible. Chris Shelby looked around to make sure no one was watching him and quietly used his sword to dig it out. Moments later, he pulled out a very ancient-looking ring from the sand.
Chris Shelby felt disappointed and muttered, "Is it just a ring?" With his wealth, he could buy any ring he wanted. But soon he noticed something peculiar about this ring; its surface seemed to have strange
waves.
"What exactly is this ring?" Chris Shelby wondered aloud. Although he didn't know what it was, his intuition told him it wasn't ordinary. The ancient patterns on it suggested it was at least several thousand years old-a relic from the Terracotta period.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Thinking of this, Chris Shelby carefully put it away. At that moment, Daniel Williams approached with a smile and asked, "Chris Shelby, did you find something good?"
In fact, Daniel Williams had been observing Chris Shelby's every move. He had seen Chris Shelby digging in the sand earlier and noticed his strange expression afterward.
Chris Shelby glared at Daniel Williams and snapped, "Do I need to report what I find to you?"
"You..." Daniel Williams' face turned
livid upon hearing this. He was a prince of Amerosia after all, but Chris Shelby didn't show him any respect at all. If not for Master William backing him up, Daniel Williams would have killed Chris Shelby long ago.
Chris Shelby ignored him and walked away on his own. Watching him leave, Daniel Williams' face darkened with anger.
"Just wait, Chris Shelby! Once I find the Dragon Emblem fragments, you'll pay for this!"
Meanwhile, everyone continued searching for treasures in the desert. As time passed, more treasures were found-some weapons, gold items, jewels, antiques... Each one of them priceless outside these walls These items had existed for at least a thousand years! Even an old chamber pot from that era would be considered a valuable antique today.
After scouring the entire desert three or four times over, everyone finally stopped searching contentedly. In total, they found over a hundred
treasures in this desert-though net
compared to their numbers of thousands of people involved in searching-it was merely a drop in the ocean.
Apart from some lucky ones who found treasures themselves; most others came up empty-handed.
The Abernathy family found twenty or thirty pieces; so did Daniel Williams' men; Tiger's group found about as much too.
Once all treasures were collected;
everyone prepared themselves for moving onto fifth palace level-but this time-Chris Shelby didn't bring everyone along-instead leaving those below Grandmaster leve behind-as did both Abernathy family & Daniel Williams-because they all sensed that proceeding further would mean certain death for
anyone below Grandmaster level!
At end of desert lay stone gate-upon entering-they appeared inside another palace-which dwarfed previous ones by dozens times over-in size!
One couldn't see its end even after looking far ahead!
Massive stone pillars required several men just encircle them-with lifelike dragon & tiger carvings adorning them!
The entire palace remained eerily silent-so quiet-it sent chills down one's spine!
