Madam Winters’s Fight For Her Children Chapter 1294
The man’s figure was slim and tall, and his expression was cold yet calm. The woman’s figure was slender, and she looked delicate and stunning. Her eyes were filled with tenderness after years of settling down.
“You are…” Rowan narrowed his eyes and carefully identified the two of them.
These two faces seemed to have dominated the business industry many years ago.
Rowan’s pupils enlarged slowly with shock and disbelief. “Duke Winters? Adina Daugherty?”
Duke looked indifferent, but Adina smiled faintly. She was extremely gentle. “I didn’t expect that people would still recognize us.”
When Rowan saw them, his heart instantly felt clenched, as if he already lost control over something. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
“Why are you here? Did Ninian ask you to come and help?” Rowan asked before he resumed, “You care about your baby daughter so much, but you didn’t know that she would even curse her own mother for a man.‘ ”
When Ninian heard it, her expression instantly changed. She angrily said, “Nonsense!”
But Duke and Adina remained calm. They were not
instigated at all.
“Regarding the curse, do you mean the fact that my wife was once implanted with a smart chip?” Duke
indifferently said, “If this is the case, then you’ve heard it right. This did happen.”
When Rowan heard it, his expression froze. He winced his teeth and said, “No way! You’re just colluding and intentionally fooling me!” As he said it, he sneered and said, “Let’s stop beating around the bush. What are you trying to do when you put up a scene like this? Are you trying to convince me that the smart chip I implanted in Everett is useless and that I should stop playing this trick? Do you think you can fool me with such a stupid reason and let me spare Everett? Dream on!”
“Rowan Craig, you’re really ignorant. Did other people fool you?” Duke looked at him with pity and said, “The smart chip implantation was trending fifteen years ago. At that time, the solution to resolve it was already being developed, but only a few people knew about it.
“But it doesn’t mean that it can’t be solved. My wife was once implanted with the smart chip a decade ago, but it was cleaned completely in three years. That even happened a decade ago.
“The technology nowadays is so advanced, so it’s nearly a piece of cake for us to get rid of the smart chip off Everett’s body. You’ve put in so much effort in making such a big show, and it’s time to end it now.”
Duke indifferently stated, and it was very similar to what Ninian said not long ago.
But there were two different perceptions for Rowan.
Rowan might have suspected Ninian, but it was tough for him to suspect Duke.
This former emperor used to defy the world, so he did not need to lie for a junior.
He did not need to, and it would be beneath him to do it.
But if Rowan just accepted the fact that Everett has already recovered, and all his plans had been destroyed, that simply would not do.
His eyes turned slightly red, and he struggled yet again, as he rushed toward Duke.
Duke looked indifferent, and he ignored Rowan. He indifferently stared at Rowan who had been tied to the pillar, as Rowan was unable to move any further.
All his struggles became a joke.
“I don’t believe it! I won’t believe in your lies!” Rowan became more unhinged. He even laughed. “This is fake. I know it’s fake!
“Everett must be rolling somewhere in pain! He can’t wait to kill himself! I know it! Don’t try to deceive me!”
While he growled, Ninian stared at him, and her
expression was filled with pity.
“If you still wouldn’t believe us now, we will let you see it for yourself! Give up!”
“What is there to see?” Rowan stared at her with red eyes.
Ninian did not bother him. Instead, she looked at the door and said, “Everett, come in.”
Right after Ninian spoke, the door was pushed open once again.
The young man in neatly ironed clothes walked in. His expression was indifferent and calm. He did not look like he was struggling, as Rowan had expected.
Rowan was dumbfounded. At the next moment, he gnashed his teeth.
