Madness: Part 2 – Chapter 71
I didn’t say goodbye to Kashton or Saint before Charlotte and I left Carnage. After I fucked her, I passed out. Then when I woke up, she was sound asleep, and it was dark outside.
After a quick visit from Devin to administer a new tracker, I woke her up, and we left. I wanted her back at our home, in our bed. Adam comes and goes a lot, so for the most part, it’s just her and me there, and I like that.
Plus, I wanted to get her away from Ashtyn. That whole situation was…awkward. Charlotte has nothing to worry about, but she’s not going to believe what I have to say because I haven’t proven it to her. But I will. I’ll make her understand that no other woman can compare to her.
I’m in my home gym when the door opens and Adam enters. I put down the weights and grab my towel to dry off my face. He wasn’t here when we got home earlier this morning. “What’d you find out?”
He straddles one of the benches and looks up at me. “Found him five miles from here. Holed up in an abandoned cottage. His target was me.”
I frown. “You?”
He nods. “Went through his cell, and all he had was my name and this address. So I think he just assumed you were me, and he planned on taking both you and Charlotte out. Leave no witnesses sort of thing.” He stands and pulls his cell out of his pocket. “I have somewhere to be.” His eyes meet mine again. “I’ll be away for a while.”
I nod, enjoying the idea of having the house to ourselves. He walks out and I turn toward my weights to get back to it when the door opens again. I turn expecting it to be Adam, but my wife enters, dressed in a pretty red sun dress and a pair of heels. She’s got her hair down and curled with her makeup done. Her matching red lips make me want to tie her up, push her to her knees and fist her hair while I smear the lipstick all over my cock.
The only thing I want her wearing right now is my ring and maybe a gag in her mouth while she drools all over herself. “Where do you think you’re going?” I ask her.
I don’t want my wife to feel like a prisoner in our home, and the guy who was following her is locked away inside Carnage. Someone sent him to follow her so how many more are watching every move she makes? It still makes me nervous to think of her being out of my sight. Knowing that someone could hurt her. But this house is no longer safe if Adam has a hit on him, and they know he lives here. I’ll hire security, add more cameras all over the property, and make sure that this place is on lockdown twenty-four seven. The thought of taking her back to Carnage comes to mind, but I push it to the side.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
Maybe I’ll take her out of town? Snowed in at a cabin secluded in the mountains sounds nice. Her tied to a wooden four-post bed begging me to fuck her. But so does the thought of my wife lying naked on our own private beach while she’s tied to a lounge chair with a vibrator in her cunt and a plug in her ass. As she comes all over herself, I sit next to her drinking a scotch and watching the sun set while I listen to her moan into the gag.
“We are going out today,” she states, crossing her arms over her chest and interrupting the visuals I just gave myself.
I smirk, loving her attitude. It’s so cute. She’s had one since I woke her up at Carnage last night. “And where are we going, doll face?”
“To get you a wedding ring,” she says matter-of-factly. “Then we’re going to lunch to eat like a normal married couple.” Giving me her back and heading for the door, she adds, “You have thirty minutes before I leave. And your ass better be ready.”
I laugh as she slams the door shut. My girl wants to claim me as hers by wearing a ring. I won’t tell her that I already have one in a drawer in the closet. I just haven’t put it on. I didn’t think she’d care that much about it. But if she wants to take me to get one, then I’ll let her.
CHARLOTTE
I pull up to my house and park. We’ve been married for two weeks, and I’m officially moving in with Haidyn. He told me last night that he’s hired a moving company. I didn’t put up a fight. He said they would handle everything, but I wanted to pick up some more of my clothes. He had to run to Carnage and said he’d meet me here.
I enter my house with a smile on my face. It’s weird, actually, how happy I have been lately. It’s Haidyn. As much as I want to deny it, I can’t any longer. He makes me love Charlotte more than Annabelle.
Flipping on the light to the kitchen, I see a bottle of wine on the island and a glass already filled next to it.
I laugh, putting my purse on the counter. “You’re an hour early,” I call out, picking up the glass and taking a big drink. Setting it down, I turn around to see him sitting at the kitchen table. Just like he did the first time he broke into my house.
Smiling, I pick it up and take another sip. “Trying to get me drunk to have your way with me?” I arch a brow. “We both know that’s not required.”
He sits there dressed in his cloak and mask, and my body tingles with excitement of what’s to come. I take another drink, stepping closer to the table. “Going to chase me around the house again one last time?” I look up at the ceiling and tap my chin with my free hand in thought. “Maybe drag me down into the basement.” I tip the wineglass and finish it off. “I’m up for any one of those.” I laugh at my own words. As if Haidyn would let me decide what he does to me.
I turn around at his silence to pour another glass, but I drop the wineglass when I see another Lord standing in my kitchen. The hairs on my neck instantly rise and so does my heart rate. I take a step back but run into something. An arm wraps around my waist, and another covers my mouth.
Kicking my legs, I try to scream into the hand and pull it off, but I’m too weak. What the hell? My vision blurs, and it’s getting harder to breathe.
“Relax,” an altered voice speaks into my ear. “Give it time to kick in.”
My watery eyes go to the second Lord who stands in front of me still dressed in his cloak and mask, just watching. He picks up the wine bottle and drops it to the floor, the glass shattering and the wine covers the tile.
There was something in it. I can feel my body slacken; my arms feel heavy and fall to my sides.
“That’s it.” The person behind me loosens his hold on me, and I drop to the floor like the bottle of wine, unable to hold myself up.
The side of my face lies in the wine and the side of the kitchen island goes in and out of view.
My arms are grabbed, and I’m rolled onto my back. One of the Lords comes to stand on either side of my hips. Everything seems to be in slow motion. The guy pulls a syringe out of his pocket and a clear vial. My head lolls around, my vision going in and out. I try to speak but can’t seem to make my lips work. I feel like I’m about to pass out.
I feel a sting on my face, and my eyes manage to open to see the man leaning down into it. His mask is inches away from my blinking eyes. “Don’t worry, Annabelle. This…” He holds the now full syringe in front of my eyes. “Is for later.”
My body jerks involuntarily, and I begin to cough.
“There it is,” one of them says.
I can’t breathe. My throat closes, and my back bows off the wine-covered floor. Panic grips my chest, and all I can think is to get ahold of Haidyn. But nothing works.
Hands grab my face and hold it in place while my body goes into spasms, flopping around out of control.
“No need to panic,” the mask that hovers over me says calmly. “It’s all part of the plan.”
I’m dying. I can feel my chest heaving, trying to breathe, and I get nothing. And thankfully, everything goes black.
