Marriage Like Candy

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

She looked at Charles.

He looked the same as in her memory, the teenager who held her in his hand and cared for her.

The man who even gently asked her if he could hold her hand in the past.

Cherry's tears finally rolled down her cheeks.

"Charles..."

She lowered her head, but an iron seemed to have been melted in her throat and saying every word was so difficult.

"Why...Why did you do this to me..."

She did not understand how a person who had loved her so much could become so cold in the blink of an eye.

"Why?"

Charles sneered and pretended not to understand Cherry's words.

"It's simple. You are so dirty.I don't want to touch you."

Cherry shuddered.

She looked up at Charles as if she had met him for the first time.

Dirty...

He actually said she was dirty...

Her heart ached so much that it almost broke.

She almost used all her strength to break free of his hand and staggered up. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

"Charles."

She tried to ignore the mocking eyes of the people around her and pretended not to hear Charles's insults.

She lowered her head and said, "I'll wait for you at the door. When you're done here, come out and find me.I have something to say to you."

After saying this, she did not want to take another second in this humiliating place and ran out of the door.

There was dead silence in the room.

No one dared to breathe and look at Charles's silent back.

"Why are you suddenly silent?"

Charles turned around indifferently as if nothing had happened just now.

"Keep singing.Order two more bottles of wine. It's my treat today. You're welcome!"

Only then did everyone come back to their senses and hurriedly start to make noise again.

They ordered wine, sang songs, and in just a few seconds, the room was bustling again.

It was as if Cherry had never appeared.

Charles sat back on the sofa and drank the red wine in one gulp.

However, neither the alcohol nor the singing seemed to enter his heart.

All that lingered in his mind was Cherry's pale little face just now.

She said she wanted to explain what happened on the wedding day.

Could it be...

Was there really a misunderstanding about what happened that day? He untied his tie irritably.

Damn it.

"Charles, are you crazy?"He thought.

With the video, there would be no misunderstanding.

But...What if someone really set her up on purpose? The idea was like a flame in Charles's heart.

He couldn't help but stand up.

"I'll go out and find Cherry." He said briefly to Nora beside him, "Help me entertain everyone."

Nora looked at Charles's absent-minded look and unconsciously clenched her fists, but she still had to force a smile.

"Okay, you go find my sister.Just leave this to me." Charles nodded and left in a hurry.

Nora watched his back disappear at the door of the box, and the smile on her face froze.

The next second, she took out her phone and dialed a number. She said coldly, "He's out.You can get ready."

Outside the box.

Cherry curled up in the corner of the resplendent corridor, her mind filled with Charles's cruel expression.Tears welled up in her eyes again. She closed her eyes and forced herself not to think about it.

Cherry, this was just a misunderstanding.

Charles was so cruel to you because he misunderstood that you cheated on purpose.

As long as she made it clear that she had been tricked on the wedding day, he would definitely return to the gentle Charles.

Definitely She kept comforting herself until someone suddenly patted her on the shoulder.

"Charles!" Her face lit up and she quickly turned her head.

What she saw was not Charles, but a shifty man.

"Beautiful lady."

The man in front of her reeked of alcohol.

The pungent smell of alcohol hit her face.

Cherry's pores almost exploded and she struggled desperately.

"Let go of me! My husband is right here! Don't mess around!"

But her strength had no effect in front of men.

Cherry was almost crazy.

"Let go of me! OrT'll call the police! You..."

She was struggling like a mad person, but she didn't expect to see the familiar figure at the end of the corridor over the man's shoulder.

"Charles?"

The moment she recognized the figure, Cherry's face lit up.

Great.

Charles was here. She would be saved. She wanted to shout for help, but she didn't expect to see Charles at the end of the corridor.

He just turned around slowly with a cold expression.
