Chapter 63 The Lawsuit
Chapter 63 The Lawsuit
She answered the phone after taking several deep breaths.
"Hello, is that Miss. Wen?"
Hearing that, Lily rolled her eyes. She remembered the strange phone call last time. She sighed helplessly, "yes, I am."
"I'm the lawyer recommended by Mr. Yao. I'm Bob. Are you free now?"
Hearing this, Lily instantly let out a sigh of relief.
Now, as long as she saw the strange call, she would be frightened, she was afraid to know other bad things happened.
At the celebration party of ZY Group, she talked with Mr. Yao, and she mentioned her father's lawsuit, intentionally or unintentionally. And Mr. Yao, you did introduced a lawyer to her.
But she hadn't heard from him for a long time.
Today, he finally came.
"How about this afternoon?" Glancing at the screen, she was still filled with anxiety.
After agreeing on the time and place to meet with Bob Wang, Lily said goodbye to Haber. She went to a corner, found the detective and asked him about the progress of the investigation.
However, the result was quite disappointing.
He still couldn't find out the specific reasons for Wen Group's bankruptcy. Lily was somewhat frustrated that the detective agency even could not give her any clue.
However, the detective agency promised to Lily that they would try their best to investigate and they would inform her as soon as they got any clue.
"Yes." She didn't expect much from them but she gave them positive respond. She had to place greater hopes on this lawyer, hoping that he could win the case and get her father out of prison. As long as her father could be released, other things didn't matter to her.
She hung up the phone and went back to Haber. Holding his hand tightly, she asked him if there was anything uncomfortable, or any pain on his body.
"Lily, I'm fine. I feel good now. Don't worry about me. If you have any problem, just solve it. Don't worry about me," Haber said with a smile.
Lily looked at him helplessly. How could she not worry about him?
But, she wouldn't expose these things directly in the presence of Haber.
"Dad, I will come to see you soon next time." She was thinking about something, so she was restless. Now she only felt worried about Haber.
She was afraid that if she continued to stay there, she would only be more and more guilty. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
After receiving the affirmative reply from Haber, Lily immediately walked out of the ward.
Kevin was still standing in the same place, and she saw the lonely back of the man at a glance.
These days, she chose to believe what Lois said, which would alienate herself from Kevin.
Even when they were in conflict, Kevin would appear as soon as she needed. She had no reason to criticize or question him for whether he played a role behind this thing.
It was her fault.
Lily sighed deeply. When she thought of her baby in her belly, she gently touched it and then walked quietly to Kevin's side.
"What are you thinking about?" She tried to control her tone to be as calm as possible.
"In a daze." Kevin didn't say anything. He just rubbed her head and messed up her hair.
Lily didn't stop him and just let him do whatever he wanted.
After a long time, they two walked out of the prison silently and didn't mention about Haber any more.
The driver and assistant of Kevin were still waiting outside. Seeing that he was taking her to the car, Lily said decisively, "I'll drive by myself."
Although she was dependent on him and regretted on him, she still couldn't get in touch with Kevin at the moment.
The man's cold eyes fell on her. Lily's body stiffened. She looked back at Kevin.
Just as she was about to give in, Kevin nodded slightly.
He walked to the car by himself and got in it. The car was started soon and disappeared from her sight.
"What should I do?" In a moment, Lily's strength was all gone. She leaned against the car door, her mind in a mess.
Some incidents occurred at home. She and Kevin got married as soon as possible. Before they could respond, they had a quarrel. And then her father was injured.
Woman's intuition told her that Haber had concealed the truth.
However, the truth would be revealed if her father was unwilling to tell her, so she had to investigate it by herself. In a world where profit decided everything, she could do nothing without wide relationships.
Lily sighed. She opened the door, started the car and drove to the place where she had appointed with Bob Wang.
The car arrived at a cafe soon. Lily parked the car and then went to the second floor of the cafe. She came to the appointed place.
Before that, Bob Wang had sent her the specific location.
Lily found him followed the instruction. It was a corner by the window. Someone was already sitting on a chair.
Wearing a black suit and a pink tie, and with a pair of thick and thin glasses frame, and a tall nose, he looked very thin and gaunt, which gave others a feeling that he was not a professional lawyer at the first glance.
Lily stood still and thought for a while, but she still chose to believe in Mr. Yao. She quickly walked over.
"Hello, you must be Miss. Wen, the wife of Mr. Qin." Bob Wang stood up and stretched out his hand politely to show his respect.
"Hello." Lily frowned but soon regained her composure. She politely reached out to shake hands with Bob Wang.
He defined her as Mrs. Qin.
Lily bit her lips and shook her head. She forced herself to let it go.
"Miss Wen, I have known about your father's matter, so you don't need to tell me," Bob Wang said confidently. "Your father was arrested and put in jail. Since this case was doubtful, although the court will sue your father, we can find a way to save your father and win the case." Bob Wang said in a firm tone.
Lily was delighted to hear that, and had a very good feeling of this young lawyer. At first, she didn't trust him because he was too young, but now she had a great hope for Bob Wang.
"As long as you can save my father, I can give you whatever money you want," Lily said.
She cared too much about the safety of her father, and there were not many people around to help her. So she felt that anyone who could save her father was worth to be returned.
"Miss Wen, Mr. Yao introduced me to you. I want to make friends with you. The money is not important. If I can save your father, I think I will also have a brilliant career." Bob Wang said with sincerity in his eyes.
