“Samson, you can’t put it that way,” Linda said. She didn’t want it to sound like she was just exploiting
pride, but it was more about understanding how to capture people’s attention.
“Besides, the movie is your investment. If it doesn’t turn a profit, wouldn’t that be a huge loss for you?”
she continued.
Samson stood up and tapped her nose. “Come on. If I was worried about losing a little money, I wouldn’t have invested in you.”
Linda knew this well. The Lynch family’s strength should not be underestimated. Without Samson’s
support, she would not be where she was today.
Her position as Vice President of YK Media was a reward for a bet that Samson made with his family.
In protecting her, Samson was someone who could make her thankful for the rest of her life.
“True, our Mr. Lynch does come from a mighty family,” Linda teased.
Samson’s tone turned serious. “Linda, I’ve told you countless times. Do whatever you want, and I’ll back
you up.
Linda’s eyes shone with gratitude. She might not have been alive today if it weren’t for his help.
“Thank you, Samson,” she said sincerely.
Samson gently patted her head. “Protecting you is the Lynch family’s promise to Mr. Felix, and we always keep our promises.”
Over the next week, Linda stayed indoors and worked tirelessly on her script.
She had majored in directing with a minor in film and drama literature in college, which meant she had graduated with a double degree.
After marrying William, she devoted herself entirely to him. She gradually gave up on her lifelong dreams.
Fortunately, Samson had encouraged her and provided her with resources, enabling her to rekindle her dreams.
While Linda disappeared, William was also busy. He reviewed all the contracts between him and Tom from years ago and discovered issues that suggested financial fraud. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Although he initially didn’t want to get involved, the memories of John’s death and the look in Linda’s eyes spurred him into action.
He initiated legal proceedings. With his lead, other companies that had been wronged also come out one after another.
This incident suddenly became a hot topic and spread throughout the city.
By the time Linda emerged from her seclusion and heard about it, Tom had already been investigated a second time.
All of Tom’s assets were frozen. This included properties purchased under other names using the Felix Group’s funds.
“Tom’s plans have completely fallen apart this time,” Linda remarked.
Chloe arrived at Linda’s room with a bunch of food she had bought from the street behind their high school. They were still staying at the hotel.
“Tom thought assigning the properties under other names would save him.” Linda took a bite of grilled squid.
She continued, “But in the end, they still tracked him down.”
It did not matter whose name the property was under because the authorities would look at the purchaser’s name instead.
“I want him to give back all the money he took from Felix Group,” Linda said calmly, but Chloe understood it as a sign of the impending showdown.
All the money Tom siphoned from the Felix Group would all be reclaimed. The money from the Felix family wasn’t easy to take.
“Linda, Ida contacted me. She wants to settle the case privately now.” Chloe showed Linda a message on her phone.
“Joanne can’t even protect herself now, so Ida has to deal with this on her own,” Linda replied.
Joanne had always used Ida for her own purposes and never truly cared for her. Ida was merely a pawn in her game.
“What should I do?” Chloe asked.
“What do you want to do?” Linda questioned back.
“There’s no way I’m letting her go.” Chloe was sharing the same vengeful resolve as Linda. They both harbored a deep hatred for Joanne and Ida, wishing them the worst.
“Then, don’t let her off,” Linda said with a nonchalant tone, but her gaze was serious. Chloe understood perfectly what she meant.
