-Next Day-

Waking up the next day was complete and utter bliss for Athena. Her mates both sound asleep right next to her even as she slowly begins to stir, a smile slowly gracing her features as she carefully moves to climb from the bed.

The house still silent as Adrian and his siblings were still staying with Gwen and Alarick. The weekend belonging to Athena as her birthday was fast approaching and soon she would be turning twenty.

'Are you excited?' asks Artemis as she slowly stirs within Athena's mind.

'Excited? For what?' questions Athena, as she slowly makes her way downstairs to begin cooking breakfast for her and her mates.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

"Why your birthday, of course, admitted Artemis.

Scoffing at the word birthday, Athena moves to speak up, 'Excited? How can I be when all my previous past ones have been nothing but lies. Nothing but pain. There's never been one birthday where my uncle and aunt would shower me with love or attention or even presents. No, all they ever showed me was pain. My last known birthday where I ever felt loved or happy was when I was 9 years old. The last birthday I ever celebrated with my parents was right before the Rogue King came and took it all away from me, including my happiness.'

'I know your birthdays haven't been the greatest and the way that your family has treated you horribly, but try to think of this as a new beginning. A birthday you could share with those you love. Remember, you have your uncles back, you have mates, a Beta, a Gamma an Delta who also love you. You have Elise and Cara, who you now consider friends. Those are all things you should celebrate' replies

Artemis.

'I know.. It's just hard to let go of the past,' whispered Athena, just as she moved to enter the kitchen, deciding on making a huge breakfast. A breakfast that consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, toast, coffee, juice, the whole 9 yards. Starting with the pancakes, Athena moves to gather all the necessary ingredients to make the batter. Once done with that, she moves to grab a rather large mixing bowl and whisk before slowly adding each of the ingredients into the bowl before slowly working on the batter

I hope they like this, murmurs Athena's mind, content on surprising her mates with a well deserved breakfast like when they cooked for

her.

-45 Minutes Later-

Lost in her thoughts, Athena slowly begins to finish up with breakfast, the last of the bacon and eggs being cooked to perfection just as a pair of warm arms come to wrap themselves gently around her waist, a chin coming to rest gently on her shoulder before speaking "Good Morning my Luna" whispers the voice of Ares, his eyes slowly watching hers as she cooked.

"Good Morning my Alpha, did you and Eros sleep well?" asks Athena, as she slowly moves to remove the last of the food from the stove, careful not to burn anyone as she did.

"We did, except we didn't like waking up with you not next to us in our bed" answers Ares.

"I'm sorry. But I wanted to surprise you both with a warm meal" admits Athena once she puts the pan back onto the stove, making sure everything was officially turned off before turning to greet her mate.

"But the next time I feel the urge to cook, I'll be sure to wake one of you first" smiles Athena, knowing that they weren't mad at her in the slightest.

"Good" chuckles Ares, his eyes Still on Athena's. "Need any help with anything?"

"Mmm.. Maybe by taking the food to the table? It might run smoother with two people."

"Sure, I can help you with that."

Pulling away from Athena, Ares begins taking plates and bowls to the table, Athena following suit as they slowly begin placing it all down upon the table. A thought suddenly rising as they did. "Where's Eros?"

"Showering, he said he'd be down in a bit"

Surprised by his words, Athena quickly takes in Ares' appearance. Ares dressed in a fitted black shirt and tight dark washed jeans. Brown shoes covering his feet complete the look as Athena silently drools over her mate. Hot damn, I always forget how sexy they are, scolds Athena's mind, her eyes missing Ares amused look within his eyes.

"Like what you see my Queen?" asks Ares, his eyes holding mischief deep within them.

"Ah... Yes..." squeaks Athena, having been caught drooling.

"Don't tease her too much Brother, she still needs to shower and get herself ready for the day. Emma and Emily will be here shortly to take her out for the day" chuckles Eros as he finally appears before them.

"Take me where?" questions Athena, borsment forgotten as she moves to address Eros, her eyes taking in his body as well. E

dressed in similar clothes to Ares except he was in a fitted white shirt and a pair of dark black jeans as black shoes adorned his feet, completing the look.

"For your girls' day out, your birthday is in a matter of days and we thought it would be nice to spend the day with the girls" answered Eros with a smile.

"Can I invite others as well?"

"Sure you can. Who did you have in mind?"

"I was thinking of asking Rosalyn and Seraphine, for after all, they are my family as well, thanks to being the mates of Uncle Alex and Uncle Rick. I was even thinking of asking Maya to see if she wanted to come along as well" offers Athena, without any hesitation. "What a wonderful idea, love. I'm sure they'll each say yes to it."

Smiling, Athena moves to kiss Eros gently on the lips before moving to return to the kitchen, making sure to grab the coffee and the juice while she was there. Ares currently pouting because Athena had yet to kiss him that morning.

"Are you pouting?" asks Athena once she exits the kitchen with both coffee and juice.

"No"

"Yes your are" giggles Athena, carefully placing the coffee and juice down onto the table before turning to kiss Ares in return, knowing that if you kissed one twin then you had to kiss the other twin as well, for both were equally hers. Satisfied with her kiss, Athena moves to pull away slowly. "Both of you sit down now. I just have to get one more thing from the kitchen and then we can eat." was all Athena said before walking back towards the kitchen. Hesitant on sitting down, Ares and Eros try to deny her request but with a simple look from Athena's eyes had them both instantly sitting down as Athena moves to grab the toast.

Returning barely a minute later, Athena moves to sit the toast down upon the table before moving to sit between each of her mates. "Now then, eat before it gets cold" orders Athena, her eyes watching her mates as Ares and Eros move to fill her plate and then their own, something that always made her curious as to why.

'Because we are their Queen, their Luna. It's only fair that we eat first, whispers Artemis, knowing that an Alpha always took care of their Luna first and foremost before helping themselves.

Author's Note: Hey everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm officially coming to the end of Our Luna, Our Mate. There's only about 27 more chapters left before I finally complete the book. And while I know there are many if not multiple grammar errors and spelling mistakes, I will try to go back at a later date to re-fix those given chapters. It'll just take some time as I have a 100 plus chapters to proofread through first. With that said, updates for this book might be a little slower than normal only because I am coming near the end of this book and I want this book to end with a bang as it will eventually lead us into the second book of Our Luna, Our Mate.
