Chapter 1580
Chapter 1580
Marshall and Beth could not believe it as they looked at the heartless Corentin.
’Corentin, are you even a human? Marshall and I are your wife's parents!" Beth was furious.
However, Corentin did not respond at all.
"Do you really care about Ash if you're doing this? If she learned that her parents were killed by you, how much pain would she feel and how deeply would she hate you?" Beth felt both furious and in pain.
Marshall no longer wanted to speak to Corentin anymore because he noticed the woman was walking toward them with murderous intent in her eyes.
He hurriedly held Beth's hand. "Let's go!"
Both of them ran out of the chemical plant. The assassin simply walked out of there in an unhurried manner. Not long after, two miserable screams could be heard coming from outside. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
Corentin walked out and saw the couple, who was still breathing, lying in a puddle of blood.
The assassin was standing next to them. Blood was still dripping from the knife in her hand. It was a terrifying sight.
’Beth..." Marshal struggled to hold Beth's hand.
Beth's eyes were open weakly, and her fingers moved eagerly. She wanted to ask Marshall if he had ever loved her in this life. In the end, she opened her mouth, threw up blood, and took her last breath.
Marshall saw Corentin walking over, so he pleaded with him, "Save... Save her. I'm begging you. She's Ashlynn's mother..."
"She's already dead," Corentin told him. It was a fact.
Marshall was dazed. He turned his eyes with difficulty to look at Beth, whose eyes were shut and was lying motionless. Pain and despair enveloped him, and tears streamed down his face.
He used the last strength he had in him to grab Beth's hand, and he did not move anymore, much less struggle.
He was simply waiting for death's arrival.
"I'm doing this for Ash. Both of you should understand me. Don't worry. I love Ash. I would never leave her in this life." Corentin signaled the assassin with his eyes, and then he turned around and got into the car.
The assassin gave Marshall the final blow. After both of them had died, she moved them to the mountains to bury them.
Corentin was sitting in the driver's seat and was looking straight ahead with a sullen gaze.
When the assassin walked over after taking care of everything, Corentin rolled down the car window. "Let me contact Tommy."
The assassin handed him an old-fashioned phone.
There was only one number in there.
Corentin dialed the number, and Tommy answered the call. "What else do you want to prove?"
"Just proving that you truly are the person that I want to work with. You're vicious enough."
Corentin looked at the assassin and waved at her.
The assassin thought that he wanted to tell her something, so she leaned her head closer to him.
Darkness flashed across Corentin's eyes. He grabbed the assassin's neck with one hand and stabbed the pen in his other hand into her artery. He then pulled the pen out, and blood was spraying forcefully out of her.
Her blood was spraying all over the car.
The assassin was twitching all over. She still wanted to run away, but Corentin's arm kept grabbing her neck.
The death rattle could be heard coming out of her throat.
The call was still ongoing, so Tommy could hear clearly everything that was happening on this end.
After the assassin took her last breath, Corentin released his strong arm. He then continued talking to the person on the phone as if nothing had happened. "Proof seeking is not just done by one party alone."
Tommy was silent for quite a while, which showed that he was very angry.
After all, he did not have that many assassins that he could deploy anymore.
Having one killed by Corentin meant that he was one less route he could take.
"If you want to work with me, then f*cking do it properly. If I find out you're not obeying the rules again, you'll be the next person to die," said Corentin, then he immediately hung up the call.
He stayed in the car for about ten minutes before he called Anne. "Anne, something has happened."
