Chapter 117
ELAINA'S POV
"Emma," That was the first word I said immediately I opened my eyes. I sat up straight on the bed and my eyes danced around the room.
My heart skipped a beat. Emma was no longer in the room,
"Emma," I shouted, looking in the bathroom, but she was not in the bathroom. "Emma, if you're playing games with me, please quit it and reveal yourself now. Where are you?"
I searched every nook and cranny of the room, but Emma was nowhere to be found. I decided to check other rooms, but she was still nowhere to be found. Soon, the whole mansion was alerted, including Alpha Atlas, his parents and Aunt Freya. When everybody confirmed that they could not find Emma, I broke down in tears.
"Where is Emma?" I cried out. Rita rushed to me and held me. "Elaina, calm down. We will find Emma."
Alpha Atlas organized a search party for Emma and he joined them to look for Emma. He had to postpone his Alpha duties, and as much as I did not want him to help with things any longer, I let him look for Emma for me.
I wanted to join them, but I was stopped. According to them, I was not in the right mental state and despite how much I tried to convince them otherwise, I was still forced to stay with Rita.
"Elaina, please stop crying," Rita pleaded and I cried more than I was crying earlier on. How could I stop crying? Emma was nowhere to be found. She had disappeared. Just like that. Emma could be naughty. Maybe she can leave the room, but going outside the mansion was something she will never do.
Someone must have kidnapped her. But who?
"Zara," I said out loud and Rita looked at me in confusion.
"Are you suspecting Zara?" She asked and I nodded.
"I have always known that that she-wolf was an imposter," She said. "You might be right."
I was right. I could feel it. She had something to do with my daughter's disappearance. She must have something to do with me getting triggered too. I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt, but that will be just dumb.
I got up murder.

Without knocking, I kicked the door of her room wide open and walked in near.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
"Elaina, what-"
"Where is Emma?" I asked. My eyes had turned red already. "Where is my daughter?" I asked and she gave me a confused look. "What are you talking about?"
Ignoring her question, I pushed her aside and walked into the room. I saw her phone lying on her bed and I picked it up immediately.
"You can't just barge into my room and take my things. Where are your manners?" She lashed out. She walked over to me and tried to snatch her phone away, but I did not let her. I held on to the phone.
"Your room?" I scoffed. For your information, you would not be here if it weren't for me." No matter how bad the situation looked, it seemed to be the right thing to do at the moment. I was too sure that she kidnapped my daughter. I had no proof, but whenever I felt this way, I was always right. If I believed that she kidnapped my daughter, then she did. There were no two ways about that. This was just how I was wired.
Since I felt that she kidnapped Emma, she had to provide my child. "If you don't tell me where Emma is, I'll definitely kill you."
"Elaina, what has gotten over you? What are you talking about? I have no idea where she is. If I had known that this was how you would treat me, I would never have come back here."
"If you don't tell me where you kept my daughter, I'll help you leave not just this mansion, but the surface of earth too. You can't come in here, act like my aunt, carry out wicked schemes and succeed when I am around. I would never allow that, so if you really want to remain here, you will tell me where my daughter is."
"Elaina," Rita called out and joined me in the room.
"I am so glad you are here?" Zara said to Rita and I glared at her.
"Why are you glad to see me?" Rita asked. I wonder if Zara could not see that we could all see through her.
"I want you to judge the situation here. I know I am here because I am her aunt. But, shouldn't she give me my due respect? She just walked into my room and shouted at me, claiming that I kidnapped Emma. I don't even have any idea that Emma is not in the mansion. If no one wants me here, I can kindly take my leave."
"Liar" I lashed, wondering what gave me the guts to act like I was acting. She was right about me not giving her her due respect, but this case was a different one. "Release Emma or I'll release you to your
Rita gave me a reassuring tap on the back. "Let's leave," She said.
"Leave? She is with Emma."
"Do you have any proof?" She asked.
maker."
I frowned. "Proof or no proof, this evil woman is with my daughter and I am not leaving this place until she provides Emma for me."
"This is not the right way to fight battles like this," Rita said and then she pushed me out of the room.
When we were far away from the room, I moved away from Rita and broke down in tears. "I'm acting like I am insane," I cried. "I deserve it though. I failed to protect Emma."
"We both know that is not true. You have been the best mom to Emma. She is lucky to have you. Just like you are to have her and with time, you would get your child back." She gave me a mischievous grin. "As for Zara, when she was not looking, I planted a camera in the room."
"You did?"
She nodded. "That is the best way to fight battles like this. We should be monitoring every single one of her moves in silence. If she is with Emma, we will find out."
