Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 81

Sabrina cried until her nose turned red.

When she noticed the tears and snot on Gerald's clothes, she felt embarrassed and wiped her tears away.

"Sorry, I couldn't control myself." She apologized to Gerald.

Gerald didn't say anything and just looked down at her slightly.

From the moment he met her, she had always been composed and slightly aloof.

He was surprised to see her cry like this. It was heartbreaking for him.

Her teary and red eyes made her look like a pitiful little rabbit.

However, Gerald was glad that she was willing to be vulnerable with him.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, offering his tie for her to wipe her tears.

Sabrina laughed and wiped her eyes. "A little."

"How about I take you to eat something delicious?" Gerald said.

When Gerald took her to McDonald's, Sabrina looked at him with confusion. "This is your idea of something delicious?" Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

"Yes." He made her sit while he went to order food.

A moment later, he returned with burgers and various types of wings.

"It must've been a long time since you had this, right?" Gerald said.

He handed her a cup of coke. "Here, have some soda."

She accepted it with a smile. "Is this your way of coaxing little girls?"

"You are a little girl," he answered.

Sabrina didn't reply, but she inwardly felt happy.

After her father and brother passed away, she stopped seeing herself as a little girl. There was no one to spoil her anymore.

Gerald's doting gaze embarrassed her, and she covered her face. "This is so embarrassing."

Her sudden shyness made him laugh.

She had been in the business world for so long that she had forgotten how young she was.

Sabrina ate burger, fries, and wings. Then, she drank her soda.

Her mood improved, perhaps because her hunger was satiated.

Gerald quietly watched her before asking, "Sabrina, is there anything I can do for you?"

She was grateful to him, both now and for his thoughtful arrangements back in Dewhurst. "Everything is more or less resolved."

She wouldn't hold onto Nelson anymore.

At the thought of Nelson treating her suffering with indifference, she couldn't help but feel a tremor in her heart.

Sabrina no longer yearned for his love, but his attitude really hurt her.

Gerald saw her trembling eyelashes and pitiful expression across the small table.

"I'm here for you," he said.

She looked up and smiled. "I know."

She wanted to move away from these distressing topics, so she asked him about his work.

Gerald sighed and leaned back at the mention of work. "I've been running around like crazy lately but haven't closed a single deal."

He seemed slightly discouraged and bit his straw as he sipped his soda.

"Sabrina, you used to be in procurement. When you were with the Tucker Group, how did you manage to achieve monthly sales of 70 million dollars, with 60 million coming from you alone?" he asked.

He had found out that Sabrina was a big name in her field.

Sabrina was shocked. "That's an exaggeration. I'm not that great. However, because you bought me dinner, I'll offer you some advice as a senior.

"The market doesn't lack products, but it lacks quality products. Controlling the cost of the quality product greatly improves its competitiveness.

"When I worked in the supply chain, many people wanted to collaborate with us because the Tucker Group offered the lowest prices for the same quality products…"

Nelson sat on the sofa at Pamela's house, where Sabrina had sat.

"Mr. Tucker… Please spare me," Pamela pleaded.

If he could spare her, he would've made her kneel before him

He lazily lifted his head, his eyes cold as he stared at her. "If it weren't for Sbrina's quick thinking and good luck, do you think those people you sent would've spared her?"

"But… but last time you already made me…" she couldn't finish her sentence.

Nelson was ruthless and heartless.

He had agreed to all the conditions she offered to Dylan.

At that time, Pamela was glad.

She thought that no matter how beautiful or charming Sabrina was, she was irrelevant compared to Nelson's beloved.

After all, Sabrina was almost assaulted, yet Nelson treated her so coldly.
