For The First Time
HELIOS’S bodyguard opened the passenger seat; Zoe then entered. Helios handed over her daughter and turned to the driver's seat. They look like a happy and complete family; the difference is that they still have many unsolved puzzles and problems. But they always believe that those things have an end. “Why did you say that we’ll eat at your restaurant? What’s your plan?” Zoe asked. Helios turned to her and grinned. “It’s bait. I’m sure your sister already tips the information to her boss.” “What? What if they will blow up your restaurant? You still have your employees there. How about the innocent people eating there?” shocked, flustered Zoe's face. Yes, she understands Helios’s plan, but what if innocent people will get hurt because of it? "V Reseau was closed since yesterday," Helios answered, and she was expecting that. "You really have plans. Care to share it?" she asked. Helios started the car engine and turned the steering wheel to the right. "I don't want you to be involved—yes, you are already into this, but this is my fight. And I'm so eager to end this. I don’t you to worry about it. Just focus on our daughter," he said. She heaved a deep sigh and kissed her daughter on the top of Hela’s forehead. “Even if you’re still planning about it, I’m already worrying about the outcome. And I can’t stop myself not to worrying about you. I don’t want to see you wounded. Hela is still young to lose a father.” Helios glanced at her for a second as he returned his gaze to the road. “Just trust me, babe.” She heaved a deep sigh again. “Okay,” she surrendered. She knew that Helios had planned and didn’t want to share it with her. She was thankful for the man’s concern about them, but she couldn’t stop herself not to overthinking the possibilities. Helios told her several times that he didn’t want her to get involved in his fight, but she was already in if she came to think of it. She can’t do anything but follow Helios—it’s the only possible way she would help the man. She wants their problems will come to an end so that they can be with him. She just nodded and didn’t ask again. She adjusted the child’s position and turned Hela in Helios’s
direction. “Where is the baby going?” she asked childishly. Her daughter smiled and repeated the word da-da. “Hela Selene Lincoln really adores you, huh?” she turned to Helios. Helios smiled. “Because her daddy is good-looking,” Helios said proudly. She laughed. “Conceited jerk. And you have lots of women out there. Your daddy is a womanizer, Tris,” she said to her daughter. “Hey, don’t say that. You’re my only girl,” Helios said. She was thrilled but hid it. “Crazy. A lot of women have been linked to you before. SNS talks about the famous Helios.” "God knows, it's only you since then," he said, meaningfully which made her frown. "What?" "Nothing. We're almost there," he said. ‘What did he say? It was only me, since then? Has he loved me since we first met? Whoa. It seems like I have long hair,’ she thought. “Aren’t we going to your condo?” "Nope." “Then where? Wait—we’re entering an elite subdivision,” she said with astonishment in her eyes. "Your husband-to-be is awesome rich. Are you still wondering?" She winced. “You’re so boastful.” Helios just laughed and never spoke again until they reached their destination. … The moment Zoe saw the house, she couldn't stop herself not to be mesmerized by the view she was seeing right now. “You owned it?” she pointed to the house outside. “It’s ours,” replied Helios sparingly. He turned around and opened the door for her. Helios took Tris from here, and as she climbed down, she turned around and scrutinized the surrounding. She could not believe what Helios said. It seems like she wants to cry. She can’t understand Helios. She was grateful because she could feel that the man sincerely loved them. But despite all theThis text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
excitement she feels, she can’t stop herself from worrying, and nervousness always fills in as she diverts her though to the recent happenings. She’s afraid that they may lose Helios—but she knows that she was just overthinking. Two vehicles followed them, and all occupants were armed. You can see that there’s danger lurking in them at any time. Helios told her to come inside while he was holding their child and the young girl was busy looking around her new surroundings. “Is it beautiful, baby?” asked Helios. The little girl confusedly looked at him. It seemed like she couldn’t understand what he was saying. They were greeted by three maids whom she estimated were in their mid-fifties. From the outside, where there is the magnificent circular driveway with a fountain in the middle, to here inside screams luxury. Helios seemed to have thought and prepared for everything. This was her dream house, and her dad knew about it. “Seriously? This is for us?” she asked as she talked about the place. But she realized her carelessness and wanted to take back what she had just said. "This is my dream house!" she exclaimed. Helios chuckled. “I asked your mother.” She could no longer hide the thrill and happiness she felt. Overwhelmed, she planted a soft kiss on Helios’s lips. It was just a quick kiss, but why does she want more?” Helios was caught in surprise. “Wow, I didn’t expect that,” he said and smiled. “Expect the unexpected,” she said. ‘I can do more than that,’ she wants to add. Damn her flirtation. “It’s too early to say thank you because you haven’t married me yet, but I want you to know that I’m grateful and happy. This means too much to our daughter and to me. I want to ask you about everything, but I know this isn't the right time yet. I'm happy and thankful. Thank you," she said as she hugged Helios and her daughter. Helios kissed the top of her head. “I love you,” he whispered. “I love you,” she finally replied. And it’s her first-time answering Helios’s love confession. …
On the other side, a man is shouting at his men because of their sluggishness. The time he said was not complied with. And his friend doesn’t arrive yet. “Isn’t he there yet?” he asked in a negative way. “Not yet, boss.” “Bullshit! He might not think to double-cross me, and I might be able to kill him.” Soon a yellow Lamborghini was parked in front of him—the man he was referring to was the one riding it. "Sorry, man, traffic.” Since the man seemed to have a mental problem, he cocked the handgun and shot the ground, and the newcomer was surprised. "Man! What's your problem?!" he shouted. “Dammit, Gunner! You have made me wait for ages! What time is it?! Get your ass inside the car,” the man commanded and pointed at the yellow car. “Men move!” the man shouted, and the armed men followed. Driving swiftly, they reached their destination. “There’s no one inside,” shouted the boss. He looked around. “Gunner! Search the perimeter. “Damn that bitch! I was right the whole time!” He pulled his hair when his men confirmed that the whole place was empty. Annoyed, he grabbed the grenade launcher and recklessly detonated the V Reseau. The building was made of durable materials, and the weapon he used did minor damage—which made him even more annoyed. Out of rage, he was preoccupied and didn’t see Helios’s men coming in their direction and started firing. Helios men use high-powered guns—with just one shot, you are dead. Some were shot on their side before they could finally recover from the shock. They then exchanged gunfire. Gunner quickly goes into his bulletproof car. He opened the passenger seat, “get in!” he shouted at their boss. Their boss immediately got in and closed the car door. Alejandro quickly drives the vehicle away from the V Reseau and leaves their colleagues.
Their boss knocked his head while he cussed because of frustration. Alejandro just shook his head; his friend seems like losing his insanity. If only he knew how insane the boss was, he would not have taken sides with it. He shouldn’t betray his faithful companions. Alejandro heaved a deep sigh. He just wished that Helios would forgive him for what he did.
