Chapter 43: She fell down the stairs
Xenia stood motionless for a moment, covering her mouth with both hands, unable to speak, then when she discovered that her boyfriend was standing over there with a stunned expression and trembling limbs, she realized what was happening.
“What the hell did he do?” The stepmother cried out in anger.
“I… I just…” He stammered, not knowing what to say, and she raised an eyebrow when she noticed his untidy outfit, the zipper of his pants hadn’t even pulled up, and she understood.
“You bastard, how dare you do that?” She growled in a frenzy, ignoring Clara’s condition.
“I… Just couldn’t help it.” He clarified in a fearful voice. Then he turned to her and begged her: “Listen to me, we’ll deal with that later, what to do with it?”
He trembled and looked at her imploringly. As if she were his savior now.
Xenia withdrew her deadly gaze, and then the two looked down at her. She suddenly felt afraid, is Clara dead or not? Although many times had thought of wanting her to die as well as wanting to kill her, now that the truth had come true, she was not happy at all, even panicking for no reason.
If you go at night, you will meet one day, but here it is. She caused many crimes for Clara, of course, she was afraid that if she died, she would come back to haunt her.
Both were confused and didn’t know what to do. He stood there awkwardly brushing the cold tissue from his pale face.
She remained as stiff as a rock until the demon within her spoke up. Shocked, she lifted her trembling legs closer to Clara. She crouched down and put her hand on her nose, to see if she was dead, oh still breathing, but very weak, and the blood didn’t stop running out. Xenia immediately drew her back in one swift movement, as if touching her might frighten her to death.
She stopped looking at her and looked up at the man holding his breath, waiting for the results. He was as panicked as she was by the sudden incident.
He still can’t believe what he just did. He wondered if it was he who killed her. He stood there shivering, never having thought of this dire situation. Clara resisted fiercely and then he didn’t know what to do, he was so surprised that he let go of her hand.
Is this an accident? Will he be convicted of murder?
“Let’s take him to the hospital.” Suddenly he raised his voice in fear. Seems to have some sense of seriousness.
“Are you crazy?”
She huffed, almost fully alert enough to figure things out. He looked at her bewildered, unsure of what she wanted, he would be charged with murder if she died. And he didn’t want that, not at all.
“If they ask why it’s so rash, what can we say, not to mention the police might step in.”
She said, cautiously, this was beyond her control. Hearing her say that he became more panicked and unconscious, so he sat down on the stairs, his body trembling and falling into insecurity at his behavior.
“Listen, we’re in the same boat now. You have to follow my arrangements.” Xenia said, in a stable state of mind. This unexpected incident was not against her, on the contrary. She had grasped the tip of that stupid, eager man.
He looked up and down at her, nodding wildly in acceptance, without a doubt.
She was satisfied, secretly laughing in her stomach, then brainstorming how to solve it, and suddenly Karin’s voice startled her back to reality.
“Mom!”
The mother confusedly replied to her daughter: “I’ll come in right away.”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Then she turned to look at him, speaking as if ordering.
“Get her upstairs, deal with the blood, and don’t let anyone else know about this. We need to discuss a perfect excuse if anyone knows about this, and in case the police get involved. ”
With that, she turned away, walked to Karin’s room before she waited too long, and went out again and messed up.
While losing direction, her words were like a lifeline. He quickly calmed down, rushed down, and did exactly as she said. He picked Clara up, completely avoiding looking at her increasingly gray, purple face.
He felt chills when he touched the gradually cold body.
After laying her down on the bed in the attic. The good guy pulled the soft sheet over her. Then hurriedly left the room, she gave him a creepy feeling.
Despite Clara lying there alive or dead, he and she went into the room to discuss everything so that no one would ask or suspect that if Clara suddenly died, there would be an excuse to speak.
oOo
Her shoulders shaking, Martha clenched her fists, her teeth clenched as she watched the whole thing. The sound made her teeth collide, creating a shivering feeling for the listener. Suddenly she raised her hand as if she was about to do something. Bertha observed the direction of her eyes, it turned out that Martha was aiming for the other man, guessing what Martha was about to do, Bertha quickly reached out to stop her.
He was hastily pulling the blanket for her, startled when a nearby cupboard fell to the floor, evidently Martha wanted to punish him.
“Do you know what you’re doing?”
Bertha snapped at the moral violation of an angel, fortunately, she stopped in time.
“I’m just acting for heaven’s sake, he deserves it.”
Martha screamed, jerking her hand back.
“Do you know the consequences of that stupid act? Don’t forget you’re an angel.”
“What’s wrong with angels? Maybe you don’t have feelings, don’t tell me you’re still stone cold when you see Clara sobbing in pain.”
Martha said, her voice suddenly choking, tears welling in the corners of her eyes.
“I know, but we’re not allowed to do that.”
Bertha’s voice was soft, something was blocking her throat, it was annoying.
“How cruel! How dare they do such a crime against a holy girl like Clara, they deserve to be punished. Why am I not allowed to do that.”
Bertha stood beside her, looking at her partner, knowing Martha’s psychology but knowing nothing more than giving her words that Martha didn’t bother to hear.
