Chapter 680
"Emmert, you can't hold a candle to what I have with Steph. Why would I want to mess that up?"
"Are you saying that your relationship with Steph is better than mine?"
"Emmert, you can think whatever you want."
Stephanie felt that her grandpa's relationship with Sebastian was on the rocks.
Every time they met, it was like cats and dogs. It was just too much.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, she had to sit and eat, playing peacemaker by serving both of them.
They managed to get through dinner without a single fight.
After the meal, Stephanie walked Sebastian off the set.
"Sebastian, don't stoop to grandpa's level. He's been a bachelor all his life and is a bit of a recluse. He might come off as snarky and attention-seeking, but he's got a heart of gold." Sebastian said, "I know."
"Then why do you keep locking horns with him and making him red in the face?"
"Have you seen Mr. Finnegan and Gracie get a tongue-lashing from him?" Stephanie nodded.
"Have you seen him blow his top on set, scaring the hell out of everyone?"
Stephanie nodded again.
Sebastian then said, "If you don't want to get the same treatment, you have to stand your ground. Show him you're not a pushover, or you'll end up like them."
After a moment of thought, Stephanie felt there was a lot of truth in his words.
She looked at Sebastian with admiration, "Sebastian, you're so sharp! You can figure out so much."
"If you keep your eyes peeled, you can spot a lot of things others can't. Emmert is great, and he's an artist and an elder we should respect, but that doesn't mean we should always bend over backward for himdt doesn't do him any good."
"Right. If his temper keeps escalating, no one will want to put up with him. He'll end up a lonely old man. But Sebastian, you spoil me rotten, don't you?" "You're different."
"How am I different?"
"You have me. I won't ever ignore you."Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
"But what if you spoil me so much one day that no one can bear me, and they won't even talk to me. What then?"
"If I spoil you, then I'll take responsibility."
Stephanie felt no one in the world could say sweeter things than Sebastian.
With a beaming smile on her face, she walked arm in arm with Sebastian, seeing him off.
Finally, she waved at Sebastian, "Sebastian, I'll miss you! Don't forget to miss me!"
Seated in his car, Sebastian watched Steph's radiant smile. He thought there was no scenery more beautiful than this. Steph's smile was better than anything.
He would never tire of it, no matter how long he looked at it.
Stephanie recently discovered something astonishing.
Sullivan was actually teaching her acting on set.
Compared to Ashley Morris's unique acting style, Sullivan's acting was tailor-made for the stage.
Many actors can portray the
character's expressions, deliver the lines, and nail the movements. That can be called acting, but not true acting. Because such performances lack life.
True actors, when performing, pour their souls into it.
