Chapter 84
Happy reading…
“You still have me, Vio.”
Haidar’s words kept echoing in Hera’s head. ‘You still have me’, what does it mean? In what sense? You? Or other?
Hera knew how Viona felt about Haidar. And Hera also knew how Haidar felt about Viona. But jealousy always arises. Even she is here because of jealousy.
Hera took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Hoping her chaotic feelings could return to normal. She tried to limit herself so as not to fall any further. Hera had felt what it felt like to be hurt because of someone she loved and Hera didn’t want something like that to happen again. Hera was tired, really. It’s not that Hera didn’t trust Haidar, but there’s nothing wrong with staying alert right?
In the midst of anxiety and chaos, the door was knocked on. With slightly lazy steps, Hera went to open the door.
“Hera!” The first word the figure spoke. Hera didn’t answer and didn’t move. Just stood still, staring intently at the figure.
“I miss you so much, honey,” said the figure, which turned out to be Haidar, hugging Hera tightly. A hug that seemed to describe how much he missed his woman. Hera was still silent, hesitant to reply but reluctant to refuse. Hera did not deny that she really missed the man’s warm embrace.
After the hug broke, the two sat side by side on the end of the bed where Juan was fast asleep.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“I’m sorry for not informing you,” said Haidar, making Hera, who had been looking down earlier, look up. “I’m also sorry for worrying you… you had to come here,” Haidar continued, his face so apologetic.
There was no reply until almost a minute had passed. Hera was still faithful in silence making Haidar confused. Don’t know what to do. The man sat down until he became restless because of Hera’s attitude. Moreover, her eyes never left him.
“Say something, Hera. Your silence scares me a little?” asked Haidar stiffly.
“You are mine, right?” asked Hera suddenly making Haidar’s face confused.
“What do you mean, honey?” Haidar even asked back with his eyes blinking fast.
“Say, Haidar! If you were only mine.” Speech that sounded so selfish and a little forced. In the end, Hera was defeated by her love for Haidar, making her become a possessive person. The boundary she built herself was the one who broke it down.
Seeing the annoyed look on his lover’s face, Haidar chuckled a little. Now he understood. Hera was shrouded in jealousy because of the incident earlier. So adorable. Thought Haidar could no longer hold himself back from cupping Hera’s cheeks which felt so soft.
“Of course I’m yours, Hera. I’ll always be yours,” said Haidar, staring into Hera’s black eyes.
Even though it was only a simple sentence, it was able to make the corners of Hera’s lips lift. Showing a satisfied smile at Haidar’s statement. Her heart jumped for joy, forgetting all the resentment that had undermined him.
The two stared at each other for a long time. Admire each other. Haidar’s domineering narrow eyes and Hera’s adorable round eyes. The two of them were so immersed in the atmosphere that without realizing their lips met each other. Tasting and crushing without demands, just an overflow of longing presented beautifully.
Hera and Haidar moved away from each other when they felt the oxygen supply starting to run low in their chest cavities. With breath still panting, they smiled at each other. Haidar rubbed Hera’s wet lips with his thumb, causing the master to feel heat creeping up his cheeks. Hera blushed. And to hide it, Hera dropped her face on Haidar’s broad chest. The sudden behavior made Haidar laugh.
“Do not laugh!” protested Hera tightly hugging Haidar as if she didn’t want to let him go again.
“All right. I’ll just hug you then,” said Haidar, hugging Hera’s small body.
“That’s better,” Hera whispered, comforting her position. She buried her face in his chest which felt so strong.
“Oh, how have you been these few days?” asked Haidar later.
“I miss you.” So short, concise and clear.
Haidar smiled shyly at Hera’s honest confession.
“I miss you too, honey,” Haidar replied, gently stroking Hera’s head. “Father and Mother, how are they?”
“They are fine.”
Haidar doesn’t need to ask how Juan is doing because the cute toddler is already beside him and is doing well. Thankfully, Haidar was very happy to see that Hera’s little son was getting better.
Silence dominated the room for a few moments. Hera let go of her hug and then looked at Haidar with a serious look.
“I want to ask you something, Haidar,” said Hera, joining her hands in her lap.
“What’s that?”
“This afternoon when I came, your mother thought that Juan was my younger brother. Haven’t you ever told your parents about my status?” Hera just wanted to make sure once again that Haidar had never told his family anything about her status.
“I told them that I had a lover. Seeing their very happy response at that time made me think that your status didn’t matter at all,” Haidar replied. “So what happen, honey?” Haidar asked back.
Hera took a deep breath before replying, “I guess your mother doesn’t like me because I’m a widow with a child.”
“What?” Haidar’s tone rose slightly. The man then shook his head, as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard. “That’s impossible, Hera. My parents aren’t the type to judge someone based on their status. If the woman is from a good family and I love her more than anything, they won’t mind. And you fulfill both conditions.”
“But in reality it’s not like that.” Hera’s voice sounded very languid and desperate. Haidar looked at her with teary eyes. “Your mother tone was so cold that she even refused to look at me when she found out that Juan was my son.”
“No!” Haidar still refuses to believe it. “There must be something wrong. I’ll talk to my Mother,” he said standing up. But before he could walk away, Hera had already held him tightly by the wrist.
“You should have talked to your parents about my status from the start, Haidar.”
Haidar could see the anxious look in Hera’s black irises. He then knelt down holding both of Hera’s hands tightly stroking them slightly. Trying to provide peace. Haidar then smiled broadly making his gummy smile appear.
“You don’t need to worry, honey. This problem will not affect our relationship,” said Haidar trying to reassure Hera that everything would be fine.
“I hope so too.”
“Yes, that much better. Now you don’t have to think about it anymore. Got it!” Haidar said then kissed Hera on the forehead.
Haidar again intended to leave but the echo of Hera’s voice stopped him.
“But if your family doesn’t agree because of my status as a widow… will you still defend me, Haidar?”
To be continued…..
