Naughty!
When I told Mommy that we’re heading home, I immediately received a message from her that Aunt Cynthia and Uncle Royce are coming to our house. We are going to talk about what happened. I was surprised and suggested that maybe it can wait until the next day, but my mother refused.
She told me that Rozzean’s parents couldn’t wait any longer to see us together and to hear what really happened.
So, here I am, pretending to be Tali.
Of course, I am nervous and extremely embarrassed. Now we’re in front of our parents, and Rozzean is holding my hand tightly as we look at our parents.
“I was shocked when I found out the truth about George. Your father talked to me and explained what happened, Thaliana, but I still want to hear everything from you.”
Uncle Royce is smiling, and so is Aunt Cynthia beside him. But I still can’t shake off the nervousness in my chest.
“I… am sorry for what I did, Tito Royce. I didn’t mean to…”
I looked at Daddy, and he raised both eyebrows, as if telling me to just tell them everything I did.
“I really didn’t want to get married…”
I turned to Rozzean as I felt him squeeze my hand. He’s smiling at me. I took a deep breath and looked back at Uncle Royce.
“I am not scared to fall in love. I am genuinely happy with my life, taking care of my pets. When Dad wanted me to get married to a stranger named Rozzean Cyron Valleje, I refused. We argued and ended up with an agreement.”
As I spoke, I remembered our first conversation with Daddy, how proud he was of Rozzean. He even showed me papers of his accomplishments. In my mind, that man truly inherited my father’s character.
“That if I proved Rozzean is not good for me, he will let me do whatever I want in my life. So, I decided to pretend to be poor and work as a maid in Rozzean’s house to find any flaws in him, so the wedding wouldn’t happen.”
Their eyes are fixed on me, even Luther on the side. Nervous but I need to explain everything for our parents to understand what truly happened.
“I’ve only been at his house for a week when I found out a lot about him. That’s when I said to myself that my Dad is right. Rozzean is a great person. The truth is, I was caught by my cousin Maki when he saw me at Rozzean’s house. He told me to leave, but because I am stubborn, I didn’t go home and stayed.”
“All that happened was unexpected. I came into his house with my plan of looking for his bad sides, but I ended up falling for him. I also didn’t expect that someone like him, a billionaire, successful in life, would fall for a maid and a simple girl like Tali. I didn’t think about that when I pretended. The truth is, that made it difficult for me to leave and confront him as Thaliana.”
“I-It was not my intention to… hurt him. I really struggled to leave and let him go because I love him so much. I couldn’t explain everything to him as Tali,” my voice faltered as I said that.
Memories of the days when both of us suffered too much came to my mind. How many times I tried to win him back. The anger in his eyes while looking at me. When I caught Klari and saw them always together.
Rozzean also went through painful moments while waiting for me. We went through a lot, and now I am grateful that everything is okay. I am so happy now that we are together again.
“I know what I did was wrong and I hurt Rozzean. We all got into chaos. I am asking for your forgiveness,” I looked at the Valleje couple and bowed. I saw Tita Cynthia with teary eyes.
“Oh… hija.”
Aunt Cynthia stood up and approached me. Uncle Royce also stood up. When Rozzean’s mother was in front of me, I stood and hugged her. I kept on saying sorry. I know how much Tita cares for Rozzean, even Tito Royce. Their family situation is getting better, but chaos happened again because of what I did-because of Rozzean’s overwhelming love for Tali.
“It’s okay, hija, you don’t need to apologize. Stop saying sorry. We understand, and I accept it. I’m still happy, I’m happy for you and Rozzean. I was just surprised because I really thought it was Luther!” Tita said, looking at her second son, who was smiling and sitting on the side.
I let go of the hug with Tita and looked at Luther.
“Ma, I liked her, that’s true. I did like Thaliana, but I never dreamed that she would also like me and that we would have a relationship because from the very start, I know that she’s my brother’s woman. I just wanted to shake some sense into Cyron.”
I turned to Rozzean, his face stern. I held our hands together. When he looked down at me, his expression softened. He bent down and kissed me on my forehead, then his hand went to my waist. He pulled me closer and looked back at Luther.
“I know what I was doing that time, Luther.”
“Oh, but he was so jealous. He even got scared, that’s why he returned to the mansion on the night of the dinner.”
I cringed at their conversation. When Daddy cleared his throat, we all looked at them. My mother was smiling at me, and I caught her wiping away tears from her eyes.
“Okay, now can we proceed to the wedding?”
When Daddy said that, Rozzean and I exchanged glances. He had a mischievous smile on his face. Of course, this is what he’s been eagerly waiting for-the discussion about our wedding.
“There will be no Luther and Thaliana engagement. Thaliana will marry me-”
“Yes, again and again!” Luther interrupted his brother.
We, the women in the room, burst into laughter, while Daddy and Uncle Royce just shook their heads at the two.
Our parents started discussing our marriage. Rozzean also suggested that it should happen next month. When my parents asked for my opinion, I didn’t appeal because I’m sure my stubborn partner would sulk.
“So this is really it. My goodness, I can’t believe this… my youngest is getting married,” Aunt Cynthia said. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Well, they’re destined to be together, Cynthia. As you can see, they went through a lot of ups and downs, but now they’re back in each other’s arms,” my Mommy replied.
I felt Rozzean’s hand on my waist tighten. He leaned down and whispered in my ear.
“I can’t wait to take you home…”
I playfully hit his arm for what he said. There he goes again! That tone of his is seductive. We’ve done that a few times on his yacht, and I couldn’t say no because he’d sulk, and, well, it’s also enjoyable.
“Rozzean, stop it; our parents are talking about our marriage. I thought you wanted to tie me down to you? Listen to them,” I whispered back, redirecting my attention to our parents who were in the midst of conversation.
The parents were having a good time discussing the upcoming wedding. Meanwhile, Luther, on the side, was focused on his cellphone and seemed to be watching something.
“Very much. You have no escape from me, and we both know what will happen, that’s why I want to go home now… with you.”
I agreed to stay at his house for a week. But it’s just for a week; that was our agreement. He didn’t agree at first, but I gave him a choice-whether he’d allow me to stay for a week or not at all.
Of course, I wanted to stay with him, but things are different now. I am Thaliana, and we’re not married yet. We have to wait until the wedding. Rozzean is quite persistent. When we went for a gas refill earlier, I told him I needed to use the restroom, and he insisted on accompanying me. It’s like he’s afraid I’ll run away.
“Okay, it’s settled. Next month it is. But here’s my question for both of you. After that one week, it’s impossible that you haven’t conceived yet,” Aunt Cynthia said.
I almost choked on my saliva because of what Rozzean’s mother said. She really wants to have another grandchild! I glanced at Daddy and Mommy. They were smiling at me.
“If not yet, Mama, then Cyron is really weak.”
I cringed at Luther’s teasing. I quickly looked at Rozzean and saw the annoyance on his face as he glared at his brother. Luther is really good at teasing!
“Luther, stop teasing your brother,” Uncle Royce scolded.
“Dad… I am just saying the truth. If it hasn’t happened yet-”
“I’m sure Thaliana is already pregnant.”
Rozzean gave Luther a disapproving look, while Luther continued teasing with a smile. I gripped my neck in response to what was happening. I just thanked my mom when she stood up and invited us to have lunch.
During the meal, Rozzean told my parents that I would stay at his house for a week. He also shared his plans for both of us in the future. After we finished eating, everyone didn’t stay long. The Valleje couple, along with Luther, left, while Rozzean and I stayed behind because I needed to get some clothes.
He was left in the living room with my parents. He even wanted to come to my room, but I didn’t allow it. I knew what he wanted when we were alone. Truth be told, he’s been whispering things to me since earlier, trying to make a move here at our house.
When I returned, Rozzean stood up, greeted me, and took my belongings. I looked at my parents and walked towards them. I kissed Mommy and Daddy on the cheek.
“Mr. and Mrs. Dela Vezca-”
“You are still calling us like that, Rozzean. I would be happier if you call us Mommy and Daddy,” my mom said.
I approached Rozzean and held onto his waist.
“Uhh…” He looked at me, shy to address my parents! His ears turned red. He cleared his throat before speaking again.
“We’re leaving, M-Mommy.” He glanced at Daddy. “And Dad… I-I am sorry, I’m not used to it yet.”
Mommy laughed and patted Rozzean on the shoulder.
“You’ll get used to it, you will be part of our family once you and Tangi get married,” my mom said, smiling. Rozzean nodded in response.
When we were about to leave, I said my goodbyes to my parents. I thanked them and told them that I would call when we arrived in Tagaytay.
“What do you want to eat for dinner?” I asked Rozzean.
We were now on the way to his house. One of his hands gripped the steering wheel, and the other held my hand. Occasionally, he kissed the back of it.
“You.”
I smiled and shook my head at his response. Rozzean has no sense of seriousness. If his concern was that I might not be pregnant yet, did he think that with all he’s done to me, it’s still empty inside? Also, my feelings are different now.
“A decent answer, Rozzean, or else you’re not sleeping in our room tonight.”
I saw his eyebrows furrow as he looked at the road. He held my hand tightly, and once again, he brought it to his lips. When the traffic light turned red, he stopped and looked at me.
“I am not kidding, Thaliana. I want you for dinner,” he said seriously.
I pulled my hand away, crossed my arms, and sighed. We haven’t done anything in a week other than argue, and now, for the whole week we’ll be at his house, that’s what he plans to do. He really wants to make me his daily routine!
“Are you still wondering why I haven’t gotten pregnant yet? Is that why you want it every day?”
“No. I know you’re pregnant. I just want to repeat it; it feels so good, don’t you like it?” he said, smiling, taking my hand again, and kissing the back of it.
I just sighed as the car started moving, and he focused on the road.
Rozzean, really!
