The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

His Hostage

Chapter 34 His Hostage

“It’s a trap, Raven,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

“What do you mean?” she asked, her heart beating in her chest.

“They’re using me to lure you in,” he said.

“They’re going to hurt you if you don’t get out of here. You have to run, Raven. You have to get away from them.”

Tears welled up in Raven’s eyes. She couldn’t bear the thought of leaving her father behind, but she knew he was right. She had to escape. She had to save herself.

“I can’t leave you,” she said, her voice breaking. “I can’t.”

“Ramos laughed. “You see, your daughter can never leave me and you know why? Because I have you under my custody.”

“You piece of shit why are you doing this to my father?” Raven asked.

“Well, let’s just say, it was because you betrayed me by getting involved with those Sanchez brothers.” Ramos said.

“I didn’t get involved with those bastards they kidnapped me you asshole. They wanted to get back at you and so I was the way to get back at you.

Ever since I met you, Ramos, you have been nothing but pain to me and to my dad. All because my dad loaned money from you.” Raven said.

Ramos walked close to her. “You’ve got guts Raven, but let me strike this warning to your ear. If you ever betray me again, I will kill your father. You hear me?”

“Or let’s make this more interesting shall we? For every betrayal, your father loses one of his body parts. How does that sound huh?”Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Raven felt like the blood had drained from her face. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. How could he be so cruel?

“I would never betray you again,” she said, her voice shaking. “Please, don’t hurt my father. I’ll do anything you want.”

Ramos smirked, his eyes glittering with malice. “That’s what I like to hear,” he said.

“You must do exactly what I say and when I say. You understand me?!” He said.

“I hate you so much and I promise you this that one day, I’m going to put a bullet through your shit head.” Raven said.

“Hahaha…. I will like to see you try.” he said and walked out of the room.

Raven stood there, shaking with rage and fear. She had never been so angry in her life, and she knew she had to do something to stop Ramos.

But what? She was trapped in this nightmare, and she couldn’t see a way out.

She thought about her father, who was being held captive by this monster. She thought about the horrible things that could be happening to him, and she felt sick to her stomach.

She had to do something. But what? She didn’t know where to start.

She walked over to the window and looked out at the city below.

As she looked out, she saw the lights of the city below, and it made her think of all the people living their lives, completely unaware of the darkness that lurked in the shadows.

There were so many people, going about their business, living their lives. And here she was, trapped in this nightmare.

But she couldn’t give up. She had to find a way out.

And then, an idea struck her. It was risky, but it was the only thing she could think of.

She knew what she had to do.

She just hoped it wasn’t too late.

She would continue to pretend like she was working with Ramos and wait for the right time to strike.

She hates his guts and can’t wait to end him once and for all and save her father. Just then a knock was heard and someone came requesting that Ramos wants me at the dinning hall for dinner.

“Tell the asshole that I’m not hungry!” She yelled.

The person at the door just looked at her and nodded, then walked away. Raven knew she had to be careful, but she couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction at defying Ramos.

She turned back to the phone and continued to dial the number. After a few rings, a voice on the other end answered.

“Hello?” the voice said.

“Hi, it’s Raven. I really need your help.”

“Raven, what’s going on? Are you okay?” the voice asked, sounding concerned.

“I’m aright for now. That asshole hurt my father. I guess you were right, he knew it was a trap.” Raven said.

“How’s your father?” Alfredo ask.

“He’s in pretty bad shape and they refused to allow me see him.” Raven said.

“I knew this wasn’t a great idea. I can come and destroy everything and save you and your father once and for all. All you have to do is say the words and I’ll be there.

Raven hesitated, weighing the options in her head. On the one hand, she could say the words and Alfredo would come to her rescue. But on the other hand, that would put him and his men in danger. She couldn’t put them at risk like that.

“I can’t do that,” she said, her voice breaking. “I can’t put you in danger like that.”

“Raven, I’m willing to take the risk if it means saving you and your father.

“But what if something goes wrong?” Raven asked. “What if you get hurt?”

“I’m willing to take that risk,” Alfredo said. “But I’m not going to force you to do anything. The choice is yours.”

Raven thought about what he said, and she knew he was right. The choice was hers. But she didn’t know what to do. She was so scared, and she didn’t know how to make the right decision.

Just then, there was a knock on the door again.

“Hello?” Raven called out.

“It’s me,” came the voice of one of the guards. “Ramos wants to see you.”

Raven’s heart sank. She knew what this meant.

“Tell him I’m not ready to see him,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

“I can’t do that,” the guard said. “You have to come with me.”

Raven’s hands were shaking. She knew she couldn’t disobey the guard. She had to go with him.

“Okay,” she said, her voice barely a whisper. ”

“I have to go, I don’t want them to know I have a secret phone with me. When I get a chance, I will call you Alfredo.” Raven said.

“You take care of yourself and know that I really care about you Raven.” He said and then hung up the phone.

Raven took a deep breathe and then went out the door.

She followed the guard down the hall, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew what was coming, and she was terrified.

She was brought to the same room where she had met Ramos the first time. He was sitting in the same chair, his eyes fixed on her.

“Hello, Raven,” he said, his voice cold and calculating. “I’m glad you could join me.”

Raven didn’t say anything, just stood there, frozen in fear.

“I have a proposition for you,” Ramos said. “I know you’re loyal to your father, and I respect that.

“But I think we can come to an agreement that will benefit us both,” Ramos continued.

“I’m willing to release your father and give you both safe passage out of the country. In return, I want you to help me with a few things.”

Raven’s head was spinning. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Was Ramos really offering to let her and her father go? She didn’t trust him, but she knew she had to at least consider his offer.

“What do you want me to do?” she asked, her voice shaking.

“The question is are you willing to do anything to save your father?” He asked her.

Raven swallowed hard. She knew she would do anything to save her father. But what would that entail? She was afraid to ask, but she knew she had to know.

“What do you mean?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

“I want you to work for me,” Ramos said. “I want you to be my right-hand woman. You will help me run my operations and make sure everything runs smoothly. In return, I will let you and your father go.”

Raven’s heart was racing……
