The Man’s Decree

Chapter 4224

Chapter 4224 Unable To Escape "Mr. Laurent, I'll leave this guy to you," Kai said as he handed Stanton over to Sylvain.

After all, the Sky Slasher Sect had killed quite a few disciples from Medicine God Island, so Sylvain had every right to vent his anger on Stanton.

"Thank you, Mr. Chance. With Medicine God Island in such a state, I truly don't know how to repay you," Sylvain said, feeling a bit ashamed.

"Mr. Laurent, you've done so much for the benefit of all alchemists in the celestial world by standing up against the Sky Slasher Sect alone. What I did was nothing in comparison," Kai reassured him.

As he glanced over the sea, he noticed that Thaddeus and the others' spirit ships were nowhere to be seen. Shocked, he asked, "Where are Thaddeus and the others?" "Oh no, they've escaped when no one was paying attention!" Wyatt exclaimed in panic.

"They can't have gone far. Let's hurry and chase them!" Dylan urged.

"Yes, let's go after them!" Waylon agreed. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

"Mr. Laurent, we'll be parting ways for now. Let's meet again at next year's Alchemist Fair," Kai said with a curt nod.

"I'll be awaiting your return, Mr. Chance!" Sylvain replied respectfully.

Just as Kai and his group were about to leave, Stanton suddenly spoke up. "Kai, can you tellwhat you carved on my greatsword back then? How did it manage to suppress my crimson runes? If you tell me, I can die without regret." "Fine, I'll tell you. They were divine markings," Kai revealed slowly.

"Divine markings?" Stanton was stunned, his eyes widening in disbelief. He stood in silence for a long moment before muttering to himself, “Divine markings. So that's what it was. No wonder I lost so badly." Neither Sylvain nor the others understood what divine markings were, but seeing Stanton's reaction, they knew it must be something incredibly powerful.

Kai and his group quickly boarded their airship to chase after Thaddeus and the others, while Sylvain took Stanton back to Medicine God Island with the remaining disciples.

"President Surrey, they're catching up! We need to speed up. Even if we reach Epea, I doubt they'll let us go," Ernesto said, trembling as he watched Kai and his group rapidly closing in on their spirit ship.

Thaddeus was well aware of the situation. Even if they made it to Epea, Wyatt, Kai, and the others would not let them off easily.

The best solution now was to eliminate Kai and his group while they were still out at sea.

But the problem was, they weren't strong enough to defeat them.

Sky Slasher Sect had been wiped out, and Stanton had been captured. How could they possibly stand a chance? "Enough! I get it. Stop buzzing in my ear!" Thaddeus snapped, glaring at Ernesto.

He knew all too well what was happening, but what could he do about it? "President Surrey, if we don't head to Epea, there might still be a way to deal with the people chasing us,” a white-robed elder said, walking over to Thaddeus and Ernesto.

Both Thaddeus and Ernesto frowned as they glanced at the elderly alchemist.

Neither of them recognized him.

Though the alliance of the Epean Alchemist Guild, the Boucher family, and the Dupont family had been leading this mission, several other alchemists had joined their ranks. However, these additional alchemists were of lesser influence and had little say in the decision-making.

This elderly alchemist was a wandering cultivator who had joined Thaddeus and his group hoping to benefit from the situation, only to find himself in this predicament. "And who might you be?" Thaddeus asked with a frown.

"President Surrey, my nis Sinclair Foster, from the Foster family in the central region d've had a passion for alchemy since childhood and have becan alchemist myself. I often wander on this part of the Epean sea, so I'm quite familiar. with these waters," Sinclair explained. X
