Unspoken Love

Chapter 18 Burn Your Bridges

Chapter 18 Burn Your Bridges

Brodie found someone to get two recordings from Ariana's phone.

"When you hit her, you must remember to kick her in the belly. And don't forget to shout that it's Mr.

Melton's idea. Understand?"

"Yes. Thank you for taking me home not Luna in our infancy. You made me the legitimate daughter in

the family. You pretended to be a lunatic and go mad in the Covey family, so that you were locked up

by the family and I got something on her to force her to leave Brodie."

"But I want to make something clear, Jessica. I'm not like you who can only be a mistress. I'll be

Brodie's lawful wife. I will never allow you to tell others that I am your daughter. You won't get a better

life in my family from it. If you dare to tell anyone, don't blame me for shutting you out for the rest of my

life!"

"You must stop Cindy coming here from Los Angeles! I will never let her meet Brodie. As for the one

Luna is carrying, she might lose it! Even if she really gives birth, the child will be a lowlife forever. But I

definitely won't let such a bastard survive!"

The contents of the two phone calls were shocking. Brodie sat in the presidential suite, like a statue,

motionless for a long time.

At least, three things were clear.

Ariana wanted to use those patients to kill Luna and the baby.

And the child in Los Angeles was his daughter!

Time passed by.

Brodie moved his fingers.

He called Steve and said, "Call the police. I'm going to put her in jail."

...

Brodie was very powerful in City S. Anyone offending him wouldn't be able to get away.

Even the offender was Ariana.

That night when Ariana was imprisoned in the detention center, Jerry Covey, Ariana's father,

approached Brodie. Jerry was the head of the Covey family, and of course Luna's father.

Brodie was finding a place for Ariana's ashes. He put the urn on his nightstand so he could feel her day

and night.

He wished that Luna's ghost would come knocking on his door.

In his 70s and with a walking stick, Jerry looked hale and hearty. He narrowed his eyes and looked at

this young and bold man. "Back then, when Luna was with you, I believed you would make something

of yourself."

Brodie's expression was cold and fierce, as if everything was under his control and no one could shake

it. "Mr. Covey, what brings you here?"

With his calm voice, Jerry wanted to act like he was confident to move him. "Spare Ariana. We can talk

about conditions."

Brodie chuckled. It felt like he was mocking Jerry for overestimating himself. Jerry found such

arrogance obnoxious.

Brodie said indifferently, "I respect you because you're Luna's father and I won't argue with you.

However, Mr. Covey, your family business has been in decline for a long time. What conditions can you

offer me? The land in the east of the city or the bid in your hands? You got them because I've never

wanted them."

Jerry was stunned.

Over the years when Luna was abroad and he took a back seat, Brodie seemed to have grown into an

invincible figure.

"I warn you, young man. You will regret if you never show any mercy."

Brodie looked into his eyes calmly. "No way out is the best way out. You need to burn your bridges,

otherwise you'll lose your nerve and end up nowhere, right?"All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
