Chapter 15 Give Me a Chance, and Also Giving you a Chance
This kiss was very abrupt and aggressive. The more Susan struggled, the more she felt her
movements being restrained by him.
There was a faint antiseptic smell mixed in with the smell of something being dried in the sun entering
her nostrils, and she could make out that this smell belonged to Jarvis.
Susan tried to shut her teeth, but Jarvis continued to burrow into the depths of her mouth as if he
couldn’t wait anymore to pry open her teeth and possess her.
After stuck in the same situation for a while, Susan finally got a chance to push Jarvis away.
“Jarvis, are you crazy? What the hell are you doing? We are in…”
She wanted to remind him of their respective positions currently.
However, Jarvis simply glared at Susan with fury in his eyes, “I think you are the crazy one here! Why
did you marry Jarvis? Do you love him?”
“Yes, I love him.”
Susan stared at Jarvis and discovered that his voice was trembling due to his agitation, and despite
trying to conceal his feelings, Susan could still sense that his tears were welling up in his eyes.
He was trying with all his might to suppress his emotion and prevent his tears from falling.
Susan had never seen Jarvis behaving like this before. In the past, Jarvis was the sun whenever he
was happy and he would feel like an iceberg when he was upset.
He was someone who had close to perfect control over his emotions, and in some instances he could
even maintain his composure perfectly.
Therefore, it was absurd to think that he would even cry.
Jarvis had never cried before in front of her. When they were still a couple in their university days,
whenever they got into a fight, Susan would end up crying after some verbal back-and-forth, but Jarvis
would always play the role of the sensible boyfriend as he lectured her.
At that moment, the look in Jarvis eyes was completely imprinted in Susan’s heart.
She bit her lips and turned her face to face somewhere else, not wanting to meet Jarvis’ eyes.
“You said you love him, but he never loves you. Don’t you know that there existed a woman called
Vanessa in his life?”
Jarvis said to Susan, but Susan remained silent.
Jarvis took a step forward and hugged Susan, and this time when he began again, his tone was more
composed and gentle, “Susan, I don’t know what you have gone through in the past few years, and I
also don’t know why you would marry Edward, but I know that it won’t be because you’re in love with
him.”
“Give me a chance, and also give yourself a chance. Come back to me.”
Susan’s frame was visibly shivering.
She could even feel her teeth chattering.
If she didn’t get a glimpse of Jarvis’ tears, she was sure that she would be able to reject him
vehemently, but for some reason, she wasn’t able to do that now.
His familiar breath was warming her neck, and it was an embrace she had longed given herself in, and
this man’s love…
Jarvis really did love Susan, and they were at the peak of their relationship just before Jarvis even went
overseas.
If it were not because of Kendra’s scheme; If all those things never happened, she would still be able to
be together with Jarvis.
“Susan, I love you and I can’t live without you. Let’s elope. I can choose not to return to the Ford family,
and I can abandon my position in this family too.”
He was very emotional at the moment.
Susan’s tears couldn’t help falling upon hearing that.
She really loved Jarvis, and she could do nothing to resist his words. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
Jarvis continued to hug her for some time, and seeing that Susan was not rejecting him, he turned her
body to face him and saw that her cheeks were streaked with tears.
She hurriedly wiped away Susan’s tears, and in the end he even started to kiss the part of her face
which was smeared by tears.
Susan had forgotten to push Jarvis away, and she had also forgotten about Edward who was just gone
for a minute to fetch his car keys. He was there by the door by the time she realized about that.
Susan saw that Edward was staring at her, and there was an ambiguous emotion swirling in his eyes.
