WIFE SERIES: THE BATTERED WIFE (ENGLISH VERSION)

Chapter 7: WHAT’S WRONG WITH TRANZ?

I don't know why I have to be the one who could only feel the awkwardness.

Shouldn't I be angry because I caught them both in the act? I'm the wife, but Lily was by Tranz's side, and she's acting like a wife.

What should I do?

This is a big insult to me, but what can I do?

I arrived late, and I didn't even know what happened to my husband.

"T-Tranz..." I grabbed his arm when he was about to ignore me. I looked at Lily's hand, so she removed her hand, holding my husband's hand. "Thank you, Lily. But I'll take care of my husband," I said and emphasized the last word. "Okay. No problem." She said goodbye to Tranz before he left us.

I don't know why Lily has to be this ungrateful.

How does she manage to calm down even though I caught them?

"Let's talk, Love..." I said to him while I was still holding his arm.

"Talk?" He grinned and pulled his arm. "Get off me, bitch!" he shouted straight to my face, so I was petrified.

My eyes widened as I looked at him. I was embarrassed because of what he said and what's even more embarrassing was the people inside this hospital were looking at us.

Tranz was drunk. I could smell the alcohol in his mouth every time he talks. His face is red, and his eyes are dreamy. And before they approached me, I noticed that if it wasn't for Lily, he might have fallen.

"Let me help you, Love..." Despite the embarrassment I felt, I tried again to help him to walk.

This is what I should do.

To help him and sympathize with him because of how I look at it, he seems to have a big problem.

Although I wanted to talk to him, I think it's impossible now because it seems that his ears are close to whatever I would like to say.

"Tranz, are you okay?!"

I turned where the voice came from. It's Leticia. The daughter of my father-in-law's

Fiancee. She's 20 years old, and she's close to Tranz.

"I'm glad you're here, Lele. Do you have your car?" "Yes, why?"

"Bring me home, please. I need to rest."

Leticia glanced at me because of what Tranz said. I couldn't help but nod at Lele. I have to agree with what my husband wants for him not to shout at me again.

I kept my eyes on them until they got out of the hospital.

"Are we going home too, Ma'am Mina?" Rene asked me, and I just nodded.

Now that I'm inside the car, I noticed that I'm heavy breathing as if I ran a few kilometers. I lost all my strength just because of what happened between us.

This is the first time he raised his voice to me. It hurts for me to know that my husband is frustrated, and I don't even know the reason. From NôvelDrama.Org.

Don't you know the reason, Mina? Or you can't just admit to yourself that your husband is cheating on you?

I sighed deeply and let my sadness embrace me. This is the first time I've been hurt emotionally, so I don't know how to deal with these feelings.

I looked out the window when it rain, suddenly I smiled bitterly.

I touched my belly and cried, even more when I realized that supposedly my happy night with my husband have had ended in a misunderstanding.

"I'm sorry, baby ..." I whispered as I sobbed. "I promise that I'll talk to your daddy for us to celebrate the day that God gave you to us..."

I composed myself because we're close to the subdivision where we lived.

This night is cold and even colder because of my feelings.

I closed my eyes and prayed that this misunderstanding between my husband and me was just a dream.

Everything will be fine, Mina ...

Everything will be okay too. I know Tranz, and I will be okay again.

We'll go back to how we were. We will return to being a happy family.

I just need to be more understanding.

That's right.

I need to understand him now because he might have a problem. I'm just overthinking that my husband is cheating on me, and I have to stop myself from thinking about that. While the car is slowly approaching the garage area, I saw Nana Marina carrying an umbrella.

I tried to cheer up the expression on my face so that the older woman would not notice that something was bothering me.

"Is Tranz has arrived, Nana?" I asked the older woman when I got down.

"Yes, hija. Let's come inside because the rain will do no good to you. Prevent yourself from having a fever because it might affect your child."

Nana supported me until we get inside the house. The maid also had a towel ready and gave it to me even though I had not been wet by a single drop of rain. "We'll just serve you and your husband some food upstairs, hija."

"Don't bother, Nana. I'll take care of my husband. Get some rest because your rheumatism might act up again, especially the weather is cold tonight."

I touched the older man's shoulder before I smiled.

"I'm going to eat with my husband. I'll prepare hangover soup for him so that he can get better somehow. Go to sleep."

Even though the older woman seemed hesitating, she obeyed what I said. She knows me, and she knows if it for my husband, no one can stop me.

I went straight to the kitchen and made Tranz hangover soup. I also made a chocolate drink for him. I went up to our room with the maid who brought the food I had prepared.

When I entered the room, I immediately saw Tranz sitting topless and in his boxer shorts.

"Thank you," I whispered to the maid and pushed the food cart inside. "It's good to know that you're still awake, Love. I know you're hungry so let's eat together." I approached him. "I cooked your favorite dish."

I was smiling though I'm nervous because he remains silent. But when he faces me, and our eyes met, I held my breath.

Through the look in his eyes, I just thought he wanted to hurt me, so I bit my lower lip.

"Where have you been this afternoon?" he asked me coldly, so my chest throbbed. My heartbeat became erratic due to nervousness, so I could not answer immediately. "I'm asking where were you this afternoon?!!" Tranz's voice echoes in every corner of our room.

I swallowed a few times.

"I w-went to the clinic ..." I answered immediately. "I was with T-Tricia. She was the one I met earlier."

"Tricia, huh?" he sarcastically mocked. He took the envelope beside him that I had just noticed.

He threw the envelope, and it hit me in the face.

He stood up and suddenly grabbed my arm. The food tray I was carrying slipped my hands. The hot broth spilled into my belly.

"How long have you been fooling me, Mina ?! When did you start cheating on me?!"

"What? I don't know what you're talking about, Lov-" My hand caressed my cheek because of the force of his slap on me.

"I want you to have an abortion. I want you to get rid of the child in your womb if you don't want our life to become hell, Mina!" he threatened me before he left our room.
